Pete Mitchell
Classic Army Vietnam M16! YAYNESS At last..
Tommygunn
Shame they couldn't sort the trades out. Also the XM is using an M4 stock (note the two reinforcing fillets between tube and lower casing). The barrel diameters on the XM look correct but the outer barrel, exposed under the foresight, of the M16/M16A1 is too fat i.e. M16A2 diameter. XM fore grips should be round and not M4 oval and it should have an M4 style tapered Delta ring not an old style M16 ring. I'm just nit picking.
TheAverageAsian
Don't hurt me but im only waiting for the 2nd generation m15 RIS's from CA. New rails, PEQ box, metal casting, with a new reciver. Time will tell.
Crispin1025
I need another job, I want that VN NOW! I am sensing a "We Were Soldiers" loadout! Cheers, Daniel
pokethepope
CA, make a metal Car-15 damnit!
Elias
I think my money will be better spent with a metal body and front barrel set on my TM VN rather than something that looks good, but lets you down on the little details.
TheAverageAsian
If your good with the internals, going the CA route and tweaking the gearbox wll save you so much more money than the TM route.
Crazy_Harry
I think he means the little design detials that make the CA, as they currently look, not as "exact" to the RS as the G&P parts. me, I couldn't care either way- I'm getting the ex just so I can sit in my enclosed front porch, surrounded by tropical pot plants, decked out in OD and covered in dirt, listening to Hendrix and muttering to myself about goddamn charlie... Burke
FYI Nacho on ASR said JG is supposed to release a M16VN soon.......
Crazy_Harry
I love that everyone's going retro right now- it makes me come over all warm and fuzzy.
Duke-9
CA, make a metal Car-15 damnit! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They better not! Than my full metal TM car-15 with trades wouldn't be such a jaw dropper. Nothing better than people telling me they have only scene a car-15 in pictures.
Skarclaw
The only reason I can understand some one buying these over the WGC custom guns is that if they are quite a bit cheaper.
PlasticMag
Well, the CA one will have *suitcasey* Armalite Geneso IL trades, so you're safe.
TheKurodaVagrant
Aw, WHY MUST THEY USE THE LASER-ETCHED ARMALITE TRADES!?!? That just RUINS the whole replica. They should have left it blank.
Crazy_Harry
I would say, to everyone complaining about the current design, to WAIT a little bit- these things aren't even on the production line yet, so there's always the possibility that some modification will be done to them before they hit the store. but yes, if they stay the same as they are here, I can definately see people going with the WGC G&P ones... shame really, as CA do make exceedingly good armalites... Shard
Well, to concur with the above they certainly look quite nice and will undoubtedly perform well, but the armalite trades on those particular guns do them no favour at all.
Sarge133
Aww, that M16 VN makes me so want to do a Vietnam loadout. Shame about the white trades.
Bada Bing
CA M15 A1 vietnam, man i think i'd rather eat my own foot (size 12's good luck ) Nice idea but i'll stick to my WGC M16 A1 much better.
Kommando777
Can someone repost the pics for me? I can't see them.
executor252
Well... I wouldn't get the VN because of that wierd looking barrel... it looks le funny. But that XM... yum. The great thing about CAs... they're available in the US for the same price as they are overseas... The newest ones seem pretty reliable too... stock anyway. Much as I have come to hate armalites for their *suitcasey* hopups and dreadful mechboxes... er... yeah I probably won't get one. But the XM does look nice. I always thought XMs / M733s had the best ergonomics of the whole armalite-family. The ironsights are pretty good, the barrel length is good, and those skinny-*albatross* hand guards are infinitely superior to the "new" M4A1 shaped hand gaurds which feel like they were designed with bears in mind...
