Well, its not sightings of the gun in the wild yet, however...

http://www.mojji.com/en/fax/fax.htm

This shows that they are producing the M2 magazine at very least, which is a good sign. My sources tell me that the M2 run is reaching its completion and shipment orders have been placed, its a matter of time now so keep watching and holding your breath! huh.gif

It also appears that the mag is only going to hold 15 8mm BB's, which if I was going to guess, means that they just reskinned the older M1 Carbine mags into the newer M2 'banana' style shape. So I would look for a 'upsale' 30 round magazine coming later.

Oh no, that mag price of $50 means the damn thing is gas-in-mag! Why not use the same setup as the Garand? It worked fine once you loctite-ed the screws. The old one had two internal tanks, one for the bb and one for the blowback, now it seems it won't have any. Count me out.

If only they were smart enough to go for an AEG version of the M2 Carbine, then they might have a larger customer base...Too many people poop out because most of us live in climates where the gun isn't nescessarily going to function properly year round. Someone needs to revise the gun and send it off to Tokyo Marui and get them to "invent" a new gearbox design that will fit in an M2 Carbine, then I will buy one...

for me, I'm just puzzled why they make a single action model of a semi-auto rifle- the m1 carbine, and then a semi auto version of a full auto- the m2.

Dammit maruzen, just make a semi auto m1!!!

I'm fairly sure it has a full auto aswell, they probably made the m2 so to avoid confusion with thier exsisting m1.

might be interesting if it is full auto- I'd always thought it was just going to be a standard s/a gbb though- I could quite easily be wrong on that smile.gif

Marushin's site says it's due out 'Mid December'

Price is Y39,800 and it confirms it is full and semi auto.

Cheers.

hmm. might be a bit of fun, that...

I wonder if they've managed to get their gas consistency issues which they had with the Garand sorted out...

either way, full auto gas rifle. I can see this finding its way into my heart fairly easily smile.gif

I wish they'd do a semi-auto M1 Para, then I'd be happy.

Actually did they ever make an M1 Para? I can't find any reference to one on any shop site.

by para do you mean the folding stock version that they used in Band of Brothers?

as far as I know, no manufacturer has put one of these out, at least in recent years- there's always the possibility of one having been made back in the Days of Yore before TM made everything electrimacal, but in terms of "modern" airsoft, no para exists.

though their is that rather horrid non-stock version. Can't remember what Maruzen called it, but it ouught to be fairly easy to mod a folder onto it.
if you can stand the front end, that is..

You mean the enforcer. Yeah it is horrid.

I can't imagine why Marushin wouldn't make the paratroop version, its hardly a difficult modification to make and they could easily charge more for it.

Maruzen doesn't make the Enforcer, Marushin does.

A M1A1 (Parachutist Model M1 Carbine) is available when you buy a repro stock and convert it like above. Which is exactly what I will be doing when the M2 Carbine arrives. And moving my Marushin M1 Carbine back into its OG furniture.

It is way old news that this model will be true Semi-Auto and Full-Auto exactly like the real-steel, the news today is that it is getting closer to reality for those of us that want more period weapons than ugly old SCAR's and whatnot (I mean why do you think they call it a SCAR? wink.gif )

Anyway, this weapon will work for Korean Conflict loadouts if anyone does that, and certainly early Vietnam.

Negative. The M2 Carbine is a real thing, used in Korea and Vietnam (esp. with S. Vietnam soldiers)

I'm pretty sure he didn't imply that the m2 doesn't exist in real steel form.
But still, making an M2 just to avoid confusion doesn't make too much sense, since Marushin has made like 4 different versions of the M1 already. It's pretty clear that they don't care about confusion.
