I'm looking forward to your feedback about the show.
It's actually quite a small show and most companies bring stuff you've seen or heard about before along with crazy custom guns you can't buy. The best part of it is the used gun bazaar. All matter of obscure stuff can be found for dirt cheap. Us classic guys go to that part exclusivley. I don't suppose you know what a Coksai Danbo valve looks like FarEast? I could really use one, or some JAC Greasegun mags.
The big announcments are usually Wonderfest and Hobbyworld. That's where the TM stuff is usually seen first.
Maybe more talk of the AEP guns, Marushin will show the "new and improved" Garand with walnut stock and 6mm P210, the GBB MP40 will likely be a no-show. Tanaka will show the M870 they've been working on.
I expect news of the TOP GBB M249 to surface along with some possible rumblings from the sleeping Shoei.
I believe this is the first one since the recent laws went into effect, so it will be interesting to see what companies have done to keep guns under the limit. Marushin and Tanaka seem to be pulling a Maruzen and neuturing their internals so green gas can't be used without breaking the gun.

Actually not true, the Type 89 was first show cased at the Shizoka Hobby show and the M14 was shown at the New Years BlackHole show and the MP7A1 was shown at the summer show. Marui are starting to pull away from the Pro Model Hobby shows as it really isn't their target market.
As for parts, sorry guys I'm not going to have time to hunt down individual parts and pieces, because if I say yes to one person I will have to say yes to all, and I won't have enough time to report on the show if I’m hunting for parts!
Anyway, you can all be assured that I will take plenty of images for you and Arnie himself has requested i take some video footage as well!

Is there already a date or a regular date (e.g., first weekend of July or something) for the summer show? I may be going to Japan in late summer, it would be cool if I could time that right. I tried Babelfish on the Blackhole website but it didn't seem to translate for some reason.

Well cool, she says salivating...
I remember reading with delight reading Rising Sun Recon reports. Unfortunately, he no longer seems to be doing them.
