OK, I know there are a lot of AK RASs out there by now, after years of: full or folding stock Marui AK47? its the least we could have; but this one is special, as it for one includes a rail for optics that is not on the flash hider, but over the body, and at a comfortable height, nonetheless. It looks brilliant, IMHO, as it resembles a SIR for the Colt family. ICS states that it will only fit ICS AKs, but that wont keep me from trying to fit it on a chinese AK74 (the price of the RAS might).

The M16A3 RAS is the less exciting part of this post, as it looks a lot like the Olympic Arms handguard, if its not a copy of it.

Why would they have to make a RAS specifically for the M16A3?
I thought that the only difference between A3 & A4 was their firemodes.

That's actually a really good looking AK RIS. The M16 one is fugly and looks suspiciously like the JB Unicorn one, though with Unicorn's reputation they probably copied ICS's not the other way around...

..whats the point in that scope mount? im sure you can get 20mm scope mounts that go on the ak siderail (comes stock on ICS AK)

I've got that JBU/ICS M16 RAS fitted to my CA M15A4, and I like it. It needs some serious shimming/padding in order to fit properly, but it looks good with a silencer (IMO anyway). It's flippin' long, I know that.

I second that. While some people shudder at the sight of a "tactical" AK, I'm actually pretty fond of them. It's an acquired taste.

Because the M16A3 does not come with a RAS as standard. The A4 is usually equipped with a KAC M5 RAS.

The only difference between the M16A2 and M16A3 is the fire mode. The A3 does not have a flat top receiver, so it's not just an A4 with full auto.

As for upgrading an AK, why not? The current ones have plastic furniture anyways, so they can hardly be called "Classics" or collector's items, which would make it a different case. You accessorize other weapons as well so why not the AK as well.
