"Tokyo Marui's Blooper (2005-02-07)
We have received many inquiries as to why the Tokyo Marui P90 AEG has been out of stock for such an extended period of time. While we cannot confirm the rumor, we have heard from reliable sources that Tokyo Marui had a manufacturing accident which damaged the mold for the red-dot scope housing on their P90 AEG. As a result, they are currently unable to manufacture the P90 model until they can make a new mold. We have no word on when this will happen but most industry insiders speculate sometime in the middle of 2005 would be realistic, given the time it takes to finesse a new mold."

Deal with it.

Hi !
These are not currently in production by Marui at the moment, due to a problem with the Red Dot Sights (same with MP5 RAS, Aug M etc.).
We look forward to hearing from you soon.........
p.s. They can't have stopped production. The actual AEG hasn't been out that long. Since April 2001 according at Redwolf.

At the start of each year the retailers get a wholesale catalogue full of stuff so they can pick what they want to stock.
The AUG M wasn't on that list this year. The implication is that TM have binned it.
The P90RDS, however, is still on that list. A British retailer can still pre-order the P90RDS. That would seem to imply that TM have no plans to scrap it.
The other fact that we can deduce from the above statements is that TM DO actually delete a gun from their catalogue when they no longer plan to produce it.
Finally, the reason retailers are rather obtuse when answering questions like this is because they want your money!
If you ask if the P90RDS is due in and they say "Yes. We'll have it in 2 months." then you're going to wait and buy one in two months.
If, on the other hand, they hint that it might be out of production then it's more likely that you will pick another gun instead. And spend your money.
Then, a couple of months later, when the gun you actually wanted DOES show up, they'll get another slice of your wedge when you buy that gun too!

Deal with it.
