Zero One Airsoft have just updated their website (after, what? 2 months) with some new stock:

Devgru Headset
SRC XM-8 Olive
SRC XM-8 Grey
WE M1911 + magazines.
WE 5.1 Hi-Capa + magazines.
SRC Marui AK butt-plate.

Not big news, but you can now hold them to their price promise on the WE 1911 by quoting Airsoft World's price and getting (IMO) better service, and other kit for cheaper at the same time to save on postage.

The price promise thing only applies if the gun is in stock at the other shop. dry.gif
Q: Why did the chicken cross the Mobius Strip?
A: To get to the same side.

I'll chip in my opinion that Airsoftscotland/airsoftworld have arguably THE best customer service in airsoft.

Scratch that, They've got the best customer service I've had ANYWHERE.

And that includes places where I used to work!

Also bear in mind that 01 has a nice flat rate shipping, which means that if you buy only one or two things, you can get stiffed on the shipping.

Anyway. I'm, uh, gona go contribute something meaningful to some thread.

The flat shipping thing isn't entirly true, they will charge you less if you order say a speed loader then if you ordered an aeg or something.

I don't buy from the uk alot, but I try to avoid buying from z1.

They still haven't got back to my mate about his KJW Glock that broke after the first shot. I think they are just trying to ignore him so they don't have to replace it. He contacted them by phone, email and fax but still nothing is getting done.

Not got any problems with Z1. I live just down the road from them so if I have any problems I walk up there and have words!

Like when I sent in a couple of guns for upgrade and they all got returned to me in the same condition I sent them in, but still charged for the upgrade....

having checked with them thay claim the basic gun only comes with 1 mag "like most other airsoft pistols" smile.gif

So if they sell the basic gun with no second mag I think I can see where they might be able to make spares cheapers rolleyes.gif

I can't see where they say that. Maybe someone else already picked them up on it so they aren't mentioning mags at all. Unless you mean that you e-mailed them, in which case a +1 may be in order for "pwning" them. tongue.gif

The emails are as follows wink.gif

"From: Pat [mailto:smile.gif@tinet.ie]

To: Zero One Airsoft
Subject: WE M1911 Full Metal Version

Hello,

I was wondering if you could confirm the muzzle energy on the WE M1911 Full Metal Version ? Also if it is below 1J would you be able to certify this and it's muzzle velocity for shipping to Ireland.

Finally - I assume it does come with the usual second magazine?

The muzzle velocity depends on the gas type used.

The pistol comes with one mag like most pistols do.

Oliver

They recently took a month to give me a refund for an item that was out of stock, pretty poor.

But the sensible chaps among us, who already have a 1911, can get the mags cheaply. smile.gif
