On the 13th of January Trigger Happy released the metal slide set for the Tokyo Marui G17. The set contains a Aluminium CNC slide, extractor, outer barrel, recoil spring and guide rod.

The finish has moved away from the typical powder coating that TW and other brands used and has gone for a chemically treated anodised finish in the same Blue/Black finish that the new 3rd generation Glocks come in.

The only down side is the ¥16,870 JPY price tag and the fact you can only get it in Japan at the moment.

There are a few things that make this more economic than cheap slides:
1) Tis' aluminium which is lighter than potmetal
2) Tis' CNC machined so it should be smooth where as a molded slide may contain edgy bits and seams.
3) Tis' a high-end model. The fit shouldn't be bad.

Also some cheap slides have such bad fitting that the seals don't get a good contact and it causes bad effiency.
Everyday I'm hustlin'

I think that's a different manufacturer than the one at the start of this thread. Or is Shooter's Design and Trigger Happy the same? mellow.gif
