This is a link to a site which explains a new ballistic armor system which could possibly replace current kevlar body armor systems.

I'm sure there is a failsafe or something which allows pieces to be taken off etc.
In the article the man who invented it claimed it was comfortable even during a 4 hour drive so sounds pretty good.

That was sooner than I expected... I had expected exoskeletal battle armor to not be developed for another decade or two... although that was powered exoskeletal battle armor.

It's just like being a medieval knight or a tanker... your FOV doesn't really matter a whole helluva lot because you're pretty much invincible.

It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, but that not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so if every planet in the universe has a population of zero, then the entire population of the universe must also be zero, and any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.

I saw those pillow things like 2 years ago, but for some reason, no army took them up. You should see his bear suit. He basically ###### off a bear and got beaten up whilst wearing this suit, but took no damage. He is an utter nutjob (but a genius).

I'd say no. I'd also say that the liquid/nanotech armor would be good to cover the joint spots in the armor suit.

Here is my big thing with this-a real EI CIRAS+Panels+Plates+Armpit+Groin+Neck or even the Cyre armor costs almost as much as this new exosuit which can protect the whole body, for $2,000??? Something's wrong here.

Cheers,
Daniel

If that price is accurate then I'll be VERY impressed.

Might be worth it for the intimidation factor alone!
