Inokatsu published poster with installation instructions for their Galil AR Kit. As we already know, it doesn't come cheap (48000 TWD; 1,132.78 EUR, £743.41).

That's a stupid amount of money for something that doesn't include a gear box, hop unit, inner barrel, battery, or even the correct type of magazine!

I do remember reading about this somewhere in the past, cant remember where. Yea Inokatsu really irritates me with their obscene price tags for some of their products, and this one is just a kit. I also remember reading that Inokatsu is planning on releasing a full version and not just the kit but, as expected, it will carry an even heavier pricetag

That makes me sad sad.gif
The Galil is such a lovely gun but getting
one custom or that kit or, like you said, one
fully made is just copiously expensive.
Ah well, lets hope someone clones it soon
enough ^^

+1 Maple.
I love the Galil, but If I'm gonna plunk down that kind of coin it needs to have the correct mag, and have wood furniture.

same here. i was actually watching a documentary on the IDF when i read this post, but i was attempting to do an algebra II midterm review packet at the same time, which never happened. (###### about that still) The Galil grew on me REALLY quickly, and i agree with you moody, and im pretty sure anyone else who doesnt have money trickling out of their ass who wants a galil does too. plus, the bottle opener on the front handguard and barb wire cutter on the bipod (including a bipod would be nice too) would be a nice bonus too biggrin.gif

That would be an ARM version though.

The other thing that annoyed me about this announcement - was why even bother making the AR version in the first place? The SAR and the ARM are THE classic versions of the Galil - and are used by the South Africans, the Columbians, the Estonians and several other countries as well.

Ah well, like somebody else said - let's hope the cloners pick up on this and do a decent one at a decent price. Or, we can just wait for G&G to release their RK95 (Finnish assault rifle - similar to a Galil) next year...

The gun looks cool, however the price not!

What makes them think we gonna spend over 1100 EURO on a conversion kit? Insane prices...

Ouch thats going to hurt the wallet. I was hoping to pick one of these up but at that price I could buy another two AEG's,I think I'll pass.

Inokatsu keep on announcing all of these kits, but (much to the pleasure of my wallet) I am yet to find anywhere selling them.

You know why hoppum because they know its a bad investment. not very many people will be lining up to buy this, because of the price tag it put alot of players out (can you say majority) but it isint even correct. and it costs more than most people want to spend. I already have a classic airsoft galil ARM, unfortunately the price for that is much too expensive. I can build a real Galil for around 1000 dollars. I don't think the price justifys the kit though it looks to be good quality.

Shame they are only making 30 units, that kind of puts a rush on me to get the money quickly as it sounds like 20 of the 30 are already reserved.

I had heard from someone in contact with Ino that there were only 50 worldwide but I didn't want to spread something I wasn't sure of. Guess it was true after all. I have one on the way, but I'll be cannibalizing my ARM like the one above to make it a proper Escort Galil.

Duke, how difficult would it be to convert a galil arm to escort?

It's easy, you send a bunch of money to Escort. They offered the classicairsoft people a chance to get in on the order about a month ago, since they were also ordering some AK kits, they got a deal on them. At least that's what I understood.

If you meant converting the old FTC one forget it. That thing is about as useful as you've got it, sitting on display. Mine is in parts on the floor while I try to stuff a V3 gearbox in it. The plastic receiver makes Marui look robust. I only meant I would be taking the bipod and wood off the FTC and put it on the Ino, but now I see that they will be offering ARM parts so I may just keep it as it is.

Inokatsu's Galil AR kits are CNC. Plus, on the 50 kits produced, only 30 are OK. Only two reasons to justify that price. Oh... and they're all already reserved or sold. If you wanted to buy one, so, good luck.

Concerning the quality of Inokatsu's kit, heh, it's not that Cyma isht tongue.gif I bougth the AK47 full steel / wood from Inokatsu. Yes, pricey. But I'm not disappointed at all.
