I think I'll be getting me a Spetz if the info added up is to my liking. And maybe an M4 S-System later on.

Either way, it's nice that the things I'm looking for are finally in the UK.

Is it me being cynical or are the prices set at exactly the maximum level to make you think twice about ordering from the likes of Gunner?

That funny looking 'SVD' looks like it could be modded into something unusual but at 100 quid I'm in 2 minds ... with a custom barrel mod and appropriate sight that could become quite a convincing VSS Vintorez.

It gets expensive when you consider the necessary internal mods before you start on the cosmetics.

Its the obvious pricing strategy to take.

Up to now, if you want to avoid the slow shipping that people are experiancing with Gunner due to the overload of orders, you would have to go with AirsoftGlobal. The M14 on actionhobbys is only £20 more than the same gun incl. shipping from AG, which TBH is not a big enough difference to be worth importing it, so i can see AH getting a lot of orders until Gunner speeds up the lead time.

Ordered an L96 last night, and got a dispatch e-mail at half ten last night :S
I assume it was an "it's ready to go" e-mail rather than the delivery service having it.

Should show tomorrow hopefully.

It is ... smile.gif There are some discrepancies but I have to say that as my Paypal surplus burns harder I'm likely to go for it as a project gun.

The guys that own this place are very helpful via email too.

As a first gun CD I'd think again and go for something more reliable.

Bear in mind, Action Hobbys also have to offer a guarantee under UK law, and I'm more likely to return something in the UK than something I've imported from Hong Kong. Makes that extra cost seem reasonable. Whether it's worthwhile depends on your confidence in the gun, and your competence at fixing it.

As much as i dislike clone guns, that spetz with folding stock is very tempting.

Even better that Paul has them in, my last order was with me within 2 days with some small fee-bees smile.gif Now all he needs is some element parts for the guns!

Got my L96 at 10 to 9 this morning, and had to go to uni before I'd had chance to open it. Ordered at about 10 at night on the 17th and received at 9 this morning isn't a bad turnaround.
Luckily everything at uni was cancelled tongue.gif

Gonna have to spray the black stock OD (partly because it's a bit shiny and partly because I think a black L96 looks a bit naff). Put a mag through it just for the sake of it, couldn't do any scope zeroing or accuracy tests because of the wind, could hit stuff at the end of my garden regardless so it must be fairly consistent. Mag seems to be around 30 rounds.
The cheapo bipods are no good for it because the barrel's too fat, so I'm going to have to invest a properly mounting one.
That and a way to bring the FPS down..
