So is SRC on-par with TM? Or are they just a little bit worse or better?

They seem to be not quite as good as TM internally, but externally, they have be pretty good as of late.

Man I want one now. I like that Mag release, and the rail on top of the scope.

I already have a G36c Carry Handle, so I won't mind paying a few dollars more for that scope.

I sold my CA36 only recently, but I already miss her. Her love was a different kind of love compared to my new SOCOM....

Anyways, it's cool that they offered a full length G36 with standard handle and irons. I've not heard of a good scope handle as of yet, they all seem to have bad eye relief. I traded by CA scope handle away for a standard rail and got a proper scope.

And I like the little innovations on the SRC36, like the mag release.

Am I missing something here? What's so special about the mag release? Is it that it has another piece by the trigger guard? Why would that matter?

It means that you could release the mag with your trigger hand. With your trigger hand you push down the lever and let the mag drop while you free hand reaches for the mag and inserts it into the now empty magwell. In other words, it makes reloading quicker and its easier to pull out mags that get stuck, like the CA hicaps that get stay inside my magwell and in which I have to pull out the mag and it gets a little annoying.

Man, i really hope they sell that scope handle by itself. Especially considering that it will be pretty cheap, they'll make a boatload on this.

I wonder how good will be the build quality.

I mean, CA G36s are very close to the real thing in terms of finishing, and i heard that the scope was actually useable. And they are made from nylon/glass fiber.

In the other hand, the Marui offering, is made from ABS (as the SRC according to WGC) and looks and feels a bit 'toyish' compared to the CA36s.

Well this is a cheaper alternative to Classic Army's G36. Besides, there are just some problems with the reliability and the QC of the CA. The SRC comes with 2 hicaps, an RIS rail on top, a quick mag release and its a bit more than half the price of a CA. And its cheaper than a Tokyo Marui, even with the scope on it. The Builder quality seems to be better than the Tm's its less shiny got more textured finish and it seems to be more grayish rather than black.

I'm not a big fan of the G36's, but this SRC one has caught my eye (well not realy mines) especialy the scope version one and the fact that its under $200. I was planing on getting the AGM MP40 for my nephew's B-day, but I think I'll get him this, so does anyone own a SRC AEG and are they reliable, and are the parts compatible with TM AEG's? Oh yeah I just relized AirsoftGI has the Echo1 version of the G36 going for USD $245.....ok....yeah let me get this straight TM's G36C $228, SRC's SR36E $182, and Echo1's G36KE $245  blink.gif ! Seriously how much better is Echo1's AEG or is it just ASGI being greedy?

(note: WGC price for the first two G36's, and ASGI price for Echo1's version)

ASGI Echo1 JG 36E is made by them by adding the Star G36 upgrade kit.  The AEG runs 145 and you can find the upgrade for 104 so it saves a few bucks from doing it that way yourself.  I am not sure of the JG G36 quality or I would try it plus the Star upgrade and come out around 185.

I can release the magazine with my trigger finger without that extension thing and I don't have particularly big hands. And I don't know about the SRC version but with both the Marui and Army Code magwells, the magazine doesn't drop out on its own still needs to be pulled.
