To me it doesn't look like it's gunna work... a C02 powered gear box.. EH?
By the looks of it, the C02 bulb would go where the motor would, how on earth will that fit in an AEG grip.
Also the recoil bar thing poking out the top, where would that go? The only AEG i can think of with room for that poking out the top is an AK.
They also say it's out April... April fools anyone?

My 1991 Shell-Ejecting Marui MP5 has a gas cannister (134a of course) that goes into the pistol grip, much like this design would. You'd need a replacement for the grip cap -- instead of screw-mount it would need to be a trap door design so you can change the co2 bulb easily.
The picture is obviously just a CAD rendering. Any info on the MadBull company? Will they really complete it?
And it should be adjustable for power -- there could be a 328 fps version.
Recoil?? Will it make the bolt cover blow back and forth on models where it would be possible (like the G3)?

Romour has it that one bulb will last for around 100 shots... That quite alot, considering C02 pistols (real BB guns/pellet guns) only last for 60-70 shots.

...Nevermind! Changing c02 bottles when I change mags would be annoying.

So, a lower FPS would increase shots-per-bulb.... (?)
I'll get one, but only if it has a cool recoil-blowback effect...

They should do that!
They could then be adjusted and fire at 328 FPS.

edit: It should be possible for this gas gearbox to use the c02 bulbs, and also accept an external connection.

If there are still gears in it, it will win the award for "worst design ever."

If they're even smarter they'll make the internal regulator adjustable aswell, so that you have the choice of running it at sane FPS levels with the internal 12g CO2 capsule too.
This will obviously also lead to more shots per capsule.
If done right this might be the most important airsoft invention in a long time.
Loud muzzle report, strong kick, no trigger delay, no more noise from spinning gears and electric motors, possibility of using LRB's instead of regular tightbore barrels for more range (if the CO2 pushes the BB itself and not just a piston, so that the gas can expand continuously that is).
If needed you should also be able to submerge it under water (SEAL scenarios?) like you can with an ESCORT based GBB like the YE MP5 or SP M16, aslong as you dry it and lube it after playing.
All of this with the wide range of available AEG models out there.
They really need to post more info about this thing.
