But the name... 'CQB Extreme Compact'? That bugs me! These days, the shorter the gun, the longer the name. "Cos its like...uh...all leet an stuff". Odd.

I think it's an evike plug. If you check wgc, den, and unco, the pics show an unthreaded barrel.
I've got one on order from unco, and when it gets here, I'll post my impressions/pics.

I'm pretty sure in the Colt range of 45s:
1) Fullsize 1911s (5-7 inch)
2) Commander (refers to ANY 1911 with a barrel 4-4.5 inch)
3) Officer or Compacts (refers to 1911s with barrel 3-3.5 inch ): Officer, Defender. Alot of times, Colt Compacts are just called Officer length.
now these barrel lengths will vary between manufacturers. . for instance with SVI 4.3, it's referred to as a Compact. . as is the SVI 3.9.
Springfield calls their 1911s with 3-3.5 inch barrels ULTRA Compact.
Kimber calls their 1911s with 3-3.5 inch barrel MICRO Compacts.
