Just saw this...

MAG has finally released cheap mags for the AK crowd. Available in box sets of 5 per box and in black, OD Green, and Tan

* Black
* OD Green
* Tan

A lot of people swear by MAG and their cheaper mags. Personally I've had mixed feelings about them, but it's definitely news.

I also have mixed feelings about Redwolf Airsoft, but they're the only airsoft retailer I've come across so far to sell them.

Regardless, if you're on a budget, this is welcome news.

I have had good luck with my m4 and mp5, so I will definately get some of those. I would rather loose a $7 mag than a $20 one. They will go well with my G&P ak kit very well.

Is it just me who actually feels that the STAR Midcaps, despite in my case requiring now a small modification to feed properly, are a better deal? 140 rounds compared to 100, and not the waffle pattern.

Then again, I've never liked the waffle pattern on any mag really.

the MAG G36 mags where junk IMHO. The plug for the sprign was on the bottom and the tabs holding it in place would break at random slinging your spring, follower and BB's everywhere at the WORST possible time. Not to mention the tabs where the most fragile of all of them I've seen. The MP5 and AR15 mags they make are rock solid however.

Well then, i hope these are as good as MAG's M4 and MP5 mags then! Seriously though, 5 midcaps for the price of 1 hicap is a very nice deal. If i had an AK i'd get a set of these.

I have a pioner m23 chest rig, room for 8 ak mags and 2 grenades and 2, yes 2! knife sheaths lol.

Quite a good vest for the price i would reccomend it mate. Its more green than this pic makes it out to be.

I have mag midcaps for my m15 and they all feed fine. I would as weasel says "d be on these like they were a fit young brunette with a french accent, curly hair and pert boobs." IF they were ak74 black bakelite version

I know her, I believe she still lives near Lille, in the North of France. I was in love, and she broke my heart. So stay away form that type.
Sorry for the OT, but I'm now after Polish/German/others, as I know a bunch here...

Oh, and waffle are OK, but they are nowhere as nice as on a SVD...

Bah, Out of stock of the black ones.

I haven't even recieved my AK yet, or even skirmished, but they are very fine for that price - and like above said, better to lose a very cheap mag than one that cost £20+.

Sad, the waffle type are mainly Bulgarian if I'm not mistaken. I'd also rather the bakelite 7.62 mags.

Funny, this thread makes me wanna ditch my Japanese fetish and look for some French women...
