I'm not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but CA's SCAR L is for preorder at ASGI $370.00.

Beat me to it.

EDIT: Oh! One thing he didn't mention, it is said to arrive 3/25, so still a month away.

Lol their information seems to be a summary of the AEX review.

That release date seems later than what the guy on the forums from AEX has been saying. Early March compared to late March. Hmmm

Yeah this is probably a reason why AEX doesn't do too many reviews since all of them are pre-release reviews. Lotsa people tend to paraphrase their inital work ;(

That part of the review is 100% AEX researched. I know the guy who suggested the testing. Funny how it trickled over.

But as of today it's a fact AEX has CA SCARs in hand for customers to check out in store. Not too sure how many other retailers can say that.

I find this lack of magazine compatability disturbing. I wish somebdoy would say WHY the G&P mags won't fit. And how about MAG magazines? I sure hope they will work.

G&P mags for some reason have never worked well in all of the m15's that ive worked with.

Im starting to think CA has something against G&P.

I will ask my staff to check this claim by GI. That was not covered by our technical review so I don't know how they would know since only we have a CA SCAR (which is a production model not a prototype). However, it brings up a good concern to investigate further. I will update the OTHER SCAR thread as soon as I can find out.

Ack, never mind! I'm a dumbass. Our staff updated our AEX SCAR review with the mag compatibility info only recently and I didn't see it.

guys, there's been over 20 news threads about the CA SCAR, another retailer getting them in stock or taking preorders is not news and belongs as an update in an already existing thread.

Um no...

Fitment isnt an issue, function is.

Ive used more than 25 G&P mids in more than 10 m15's and none of them have fed reliably. They all however have fit perfectly just like any other magazine. The problem with feeding lies in the magazine, not the rifle. Perhaps i should have expanded upon that in my original post.

I know that MAG and G&P brand magzines fit in the Chinese SCAR as I have tested them both on the one I own. And "NO" I didn't buy it. :-)

*** I know that this doesn't pertain to the CA replica however thought I would share since there was a thread about about mags and a scar.. :-)
