After how many years!?

http://www.cryeprecision.com/default.aspx

Interesting note for those not in the US about shipping overseas:

We do ship internationally as well, and typically use FedEx. We also will work with your preferred freight forwarder to get a shipment to you. The customer is responsible for any duties and taxes. We are not able to process credit cards issued through foreign banks. We will accept wire transfers which can be arranged by contacting a sales representative.

Already placed my order smile.gif
kodiak22
wow that stuff looks nice.

I really liek the armor carrier............... but at 2k it a little over my budget rolleyes.gif

PlasticMag
Oh my... Crye pants in RG. I rather like that.

Sexy! BDU prices are a bit more than the Gen 1s, but the pads have been given a drastic reduction in cost. Would love to get my hands on a pair but my gen 1s are still as reliable as ever.

I also take it that the Cage armor system is now their official proprietary vest? Have they abandoned the crye style plates?
msx361
Hmmm, probs be oos before i can afford to get an order in sad.gif

Prices went up for the Gen 2 stuff too. When I got my Gen 2 gear, it was about 20% cheaper than their current list price. The pads are also more expensive than the Gen 1 pads were way back when.

As for the Gen 1 armor system, last I heard, it's been fully replaced by the Gen 2 armor.

The Ranger Green style apparel is awesome and the fitting for the Combat BDUs is across the board decent (kinda getting used to it), though I still really like my Gen 1s.

When I finally saw the price for genuine Crye combat pants and shirt I died a little... but at least I know I can get what I want.
frogfish
Got my order in.... But the site isn't mac compatible for some reason, glad I got VM fusion...

You sure? I just looked through it with my MacbookPro
Sniperman15
Just ordered a "guns kill" shirt haha.
frogfish
I tried it on Opera, Firefox, Safari, even IE5 and it told me it had a mac script error... Hrmmmm it was probably Bank of America trying to tell me they cost too much.

Sorry TCI no TABC rewire this month...

EDIT: huh just tried it again with no issues on Opera....
keyserSOZE
just ordered field pants in RG. Im still up in the air about the combat shirt. Im just not a big fan of the combat pants.

They have nice kit, but at $180 for the pants.... eh... I'll hold.
Fisherpruce
Been stacking for a while. I shouldn't have but Field pants in MC and RG, Combat Shirt in MC and RG, Some T-shirts.
Man I would love a carrier but I don't take this hobby that serious. Someone also mentioned they had problems with a mac. I ordered using Safari just fine on my imac.
ThaFlash
Man, I like their field gear.
Their combat stuff is a bit too pricey for me. I have a limit at about $150 for a single piece, beyond that and I feel that I'm spending enough money to not worry about penny pinching anymore. I'd go with a D3o baselayer under Arc'teryx myself.

But you gotta give them credit, even at those prices, people will line up around the block to buy; can't knock that kind of success.
Aitch
It's expensive, but try on a set of genuine and a set of third party/knock off, hands down CP is money well spent, it's good they do internastional now, shame it's transfers though, get some paypal or accept mastercard people tongue.gif
Pilko
Those caps with the velcro lights are actually one of the most awesome ideas ever!
Darthwhite
Ever used one? They suck, trust me. The peak of the cap always points in the wrong direction, cant be easily adjusted, and has no throw or hitting power. Petzl Tikka XP all the way.

Field pants in RG... must save up a little more overdraft i think.
Chevieblazer
Ah ######!
Only ships to North America. That sucks
tehnoobslayer
the website is barely working for me at all.
Pdubyuh
Looks like we broke it already lol biggrin.gif
IronWolf
Chevieblazer, they do ship internationally according to their shipping page:

We are not able to process credit cards issued through foreign banks. We will accept wire transfers which can be arranged by contacting a sales representative. As actual shipping charges frequently are updated by the carrier from the initial online estimates, we reserve the right to charge for any additional shipping costs. Some items may require an export license which could delay your shipment. This affects international shipments as well as shipments to APO/FPO’s.

However, there are some extra hoops to jump through, its a slight shame they didn't incorporate a paypal facility into their website. Still, great to see that they're selling to the public smile.gif
Sonny
Seems their main page is screwed up try this one:

http://www.cryeprecision.com/home.aspx

Edit: nvm....its happening on other pages too.
tehnoobslayer
the lack of a working website is kind of annoying currently, i only got to see the new combat apparel.

have they changed the field stuff at all?

+1.

If I bother at all, it'll be a combat set in black.
Horsem4n
i think ill pick up a pair of combat pants and knee pads. and to think i was going to get the UR-Tactical ones.
i just have to see what the team leader says.
Sonny
I couldnt resist the combat set in black as well. Lets just say it was a very expensive day for me...

Combat Knee Pad Style 02 Khaki
Combat Shirt Army Custom Multicam 2Xlarge Regular
Combat Shirt Army Custom Black
Combat Knee Pad Style 02 Black
Combat Elbow Pad Style 02 Black
Ball Cap CP Logo Multicam
Field Shirt Army Custom Multicam
Combat Pants Army Custom Multicam
Combat Pants Army Custom Black

I wonder if they disabled the website to stop orders so they could catch up. I called them this morning about my order to clarify the note I left and the CR was kind of rude, and didnt even want to bother checking the order to make sure it was correct. I also asked about the Khaki elbow pads, and they did say they should be available very soon.
rws591
No products are showing up. Lame!
Horsem4n
its like what happens when a demo for a popular video game comes out (happened with halo 3) a server blew up because of download traffic.

im thinking they were run dry very quickly. i really hope i can grab a pair of pants later.

They've apparently shifted thier business model for a sustained stock this time, rather than the "blink and you missed it" stock of Gen 1's.

DIG2 was never intended for public purchase. Supposedly only available to SEALS, though a few have leaked out here and there. But for the most part, you definitely can't buy it direct from them, and LBT that makes gear in DIG2 also refuses to sell to civvies. Personally, I don't see the allure of DIG2. Looks so close to Desert MARPAT, to me the only reason why people want it is because it's hard to come by. I'd rather buy gear for its functionality rather than its exclusivity. dry.gif

Back on topic, loving all my Crye gear. biggrin.gif
Fly'n Brian
The Combat Elbow Pad Style 02 in Khaki are out of stock already.

They've been out of stock for a few months. If any were relisted, they were in short supply. There will be more soon though.

Fair enough, everything else is a tad out of my price range tho tongue.gif
Kalmar
Interesting this is, at least this time around, Crye is selling it's armor products to anyone with the money and a US government issued ID aka "drivers license" wink.gif
Jagdraben
...

Well, there goes my paycheck.

(Gotted Combat trousers and shirt in RG, with elbow and knee pads.)
The Quarter-master
I'm trying to work out what i want more MC, RG or black......maybe all of them

Sonny, when I called, they can't even check orders placed. For whatever reason there is a bug that they are working on fixing that does not allow them to check stock.

WOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHOOOOO!

I have been eagerly awaiting the relaunch of CP and i hope to get my new crye uniform asap!

It's surprising their terms only call for that. There are many, many restrictions on the purchase of that class of armor at the state level, heck it's even hard to come by it in Texas.

Even though they have that whole thing saying they would I would bet good money they would refuse to sell you the armor.
keyserSOZE
I was able to put an order in this morning for a combat shirt in RG in addition to the feild pants. good thing there were computer terminals at the las vegas airport.

Try sending them an email or a phone call, hopefully that will do the trick smile.gif
SixtyNiner
I would love to get some of this but it's a bit pricey for me at the moment.
I'm hoping it will mean a slew of gen 1 stuff hitting the second hand forums soon!
fiddlesticks4220
500 dollars for a belt? yeah ill stick with my Blackhwak & uncle mike gear. smile.gif
ThaFlash
It's flak protective. Basically contains some soft armor in the belt.
CKinnerley
Really tempted to get some of the stickers and stuff it must be said, bit of a hassle trying to arrange bank transfers etc just for some apparel and accessories though.

Yep. What he said. ^^^

Also, from what I recall they have pockets for special hard plates too. It's not just to make your rig more comfortable... it's to give additional protection.

BTW, the list price for the Chassis doesn't include the front and back plate pouches and plates. Those must be bought separately.
