Anyone seen these yet?

According to Evike (as much as I hate linking to those tools dry.gif) the WE CQB Master range of pistols in their 'PreSale' section come upgraded out of the box.

Their first model appears to be the 9mm Sword Cutlass from anime Black Lagoon. There is another WE CQB Master pistol in the 'PreSale' section on Evike, but their site is slow, and I can't be bothered to find it.

If this is dupe news, I apologise.

Ben.

Oh My

I'll have to buy two and make them a nice wood case.
L4byr1nth
Does she have two in the anime, or just one?

Ben.
Warning
two

thats why her nick name is "two hands"

Interesting news, but why did Evike use the KSC picture...?

I just hope that, if actual pictures surface, the WE will be accurate (trades, etc.).
Donut
lol, well, I guess I'll pick up 3 then
Anachronism327
beautiful... hopefully the mags are the more common TM ones rather than the KSCs
Mr Foxhound
I doubt it will look anything like the Black Lagoon ones. Prolly like there other ones. Thats a picture of the Expensive KSC version, not theres. Expect to be dissapointed.=(

If they do look like the Lagoon ones, Ill get a pair for sure.
renegadecow
Must suck to be a guy who bought the limited KSC's at $250 a pop. Other than being remarkably cheap for what essentially is a custom gun, purchasing a pair for myself would also provide an excuse to finally venture into crossplay.
birchm
Ok, granted I have not been as attentive with the TM M9, but since when does it, or its clones, which the WE seems to be, have adjustable hop up?

Why do I have the sudden urge to wear a tight black tank-top and cut-off jean shorts... s3Xy

And in the end it'll look like a too long HFC M190. Not that anyone sane would expect something else.

Really? you sure that's the only reason?

And good thing I only paid $200 shipped for the late KSC version with the new gas system.
Mad-B-Man
It would be nice if they actually fixed the incorrectly spaced Thai trades. The show and the KSC gun have it spaced like the trades were typed with a typewriter from 50 years ago that didn't have automatic spacing correction. It's really annoying if you can read Thai.

I always thought that she got it through other ways... *drown in anime-fan fantasy*

But this is just awesome, I have been wanting to make two Sword Cutlass with WE's last long barrel/slide M9 for a LONG time(ever since they came out).

I will get two, but not from Evike.

Crossplay...maybe, but I would do the Strike Witches cosplay with a MG42.
camotyger
Ya, I have to agree, I was just thinking of making my own custom set based off the we extended slide m9's when i heard they were going to do all the work for me, I hope the product doesn't disappoint to much, or ill just continue with my original plans.
Horsem4n
for those looking into functionality, its a clone of the origional TM M9, just longer.

so, no adjustable hop like the new 2 tone TM versions. but if they do, good for WE.

my plan is to just get one and a TM 2 tone M9. then, take the hop up of the TM and put it in the WE. then, keep the rest of the TM M9 around for parts.

i doubt ill ever actually do this. the last time i dumped 500 into an tm based M9, it didnt come out too well.
my_plague_666
WE have had a longslide out for quite a while now. it's black, has wood effect grips and hideous trades. unless they've released a brand new line i wouldnt get your hopes up for a proper BL style M9 sad.gif
L4byr1nth
Oh, suck, have you got a link to it?

Ben.
Horsem4n
they released a few long slide models...

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?...roducts_id=5045
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?...roducts_id=3903

those are only 2. other sites have a couple more. basically different variations of slides and grip sets.
they are the same as other TM M9 clones, just with long slides.
L4byr1nth
"Inspired by a famous Japanese cartoon" eh?

*Sigh*

Are we sure these are the ones Evike meant? In their product description, they specifically point out the 'Jolly Roger' skull 'n' crossbones grips, which none of those long barrel WE M9's have.

Ben.

EDIT:: Maybe I'm just being hopeful, but Evike already list those other WE M9's here, under a different name;

adadqgg
We must ask Evike to send pictures.

Or just go ask WE themselves since they DO have a website now.

Oh, you're just jealous tongue.gif
L4byr1nth
Hehehehe this gun is in Death Note, too.

Must... Buy...

Hmmm.. No mention of this new 'CQB Master' range on the WETTI website.

I really hope this isn't another one of Evike's 'creative' product descriptions...

Ben.

"* Temporary image. Actual product may vary. More images coming soon."

even if it has the correct grips, i cant see WE making a brand new slide for the sake of 'accurate' trades.

Well, everyone should be suprised:

Ben.

Well, they said it was evike only...so...it would be:

Whenever Evike's release date will be.

I am happy and sad at the same time.

Happy because I can finally have some authentic readily-made anime gun.

Sad becasue it is only Evike who has them...
camotyger
Ya sucks that evike will be the only place to buy them, hope when I order myself a set that they come, on time and in one piece (last gun took so long its not funny, then I got the wrong gun, had to wait a week for the rma send it bac, etc.) more of a headache then I would like to deal with ever again.
L4byr1nth
Any news on these?

Evike still has them in the 'PRESALE' section.

Ben.
greg
I know nothing of the cutlass logo's significance but I just love a stainless M9.

I got one of the Marui ones & would swap my left one for a full metal version.

Greg.
Horsem4n
there isnt any real world significance for the sword cutlass's logo, its from a damn good and violent anime. the bad *albatross* female main character wields 2 as she escorts some business man she man-napped in some wild goose chase for some *suitcase* that people stole from him.

the anime is called 'Black Lagoon' if your interested in watching it. animefreak.tv has every episode in a youtube like format.
Horsem4n
damn, howd that happen?
L4byr1nth
You can actually order these now from Evike - $135.00.

No actual pics as of yet, though.

Ben.
BigAl
It also comes with black grips and two tone with polished slide sides and the aformentioned wood effect grips. Looks really nice apart from the horrid trades. If this is one of them with Cutlass Trades instead it may actually be quite nice.

Edit: Found a couple of pics of the Longslides.
adadqgg
Lol, evike pushes back release date, TWICE!
L4byr1nth
Might be worth waiting for, though...

I'm certainly looking forward to it.

Ben.
L4byr1nth
Double post, but who cares.

So, I e-mailed Evike. Didn't get a response (tools dry.gif).

I also contacted WE. This is what they said;

"We're still working on the grip of the pistol & it is very close to completion now. Evike will definitely be the first to have any pics or the sample to show. So pls just be patient with us for another bit. Thanks!

Kindest Regards,

admin@WE Tactical Training International"

I replied, asking specifically whether they'd copied the trades from the anime 'Black Lagoon', or straight off the KSC Sword Cutlass, but they've yet to answer me on that one.

It's a real shame that Evike is getting the exclusive. I'm not sure how I'd cope if they sent it all the way to the UK, and it was the wrong gun, etc...

Ben.

EDIT:: Had an e-mail straight back from WE;

"Hi Ben,

You can be assured that this gun's trademarks are all the correct ones (while the KSC one are totally meaningless in Thai). I worked personally with Evike's staff to assure that the translations & the wordings are correct. This is the REAL thing, my friend. You can spread the words on Arnie's.

Kindest Regards,

admin@WE Tactical Training International"

So there you have it.

Just noticed something on this thread - Noone's mentioned anything about the WE M9's performance to speak of...

I'll let you all know now, the Hop-up unit is AWFUL. I've got the standard M9, and it's very nicely built, nice kick, no leaks etc. However, the hop unit is a major issue - It's a grub screw pushing down some rubber type unit, and the screw shakes itself into the thread as the gun fires, resulting in more hop as you shoot. It also suffers cooldown quite badly, and has a habit of going full-auto after rapid firing. Even if you threadlock the hopup, it's still wildly inconsistent.

It also says 'Read Meanal before use' on the lower frame. I don't know how you read somebody's anal, but i chose not to do so before using my M9.

Shame, really =[
L4byr1nth
With any luck, they'll have fixed all that, with the CQB Master range.

I'll ask them tomorrow whether it's just the standard M9 HOP unit.

Is it not compatible with the new TM adjustable M9 HOP?

Ben.
hwagan
I can't say unfortunately - I'm not sure if it's TM compatible... I'm assuming it is, however i don't have a TM M9 to compare it to/check compatibility.

I'll get some pictures of the guts of mine up here this evening, and hopefully you guys can tell what it's a clone of/if a TM hop will fit. I frikkin' hope so, because despite the bad trademark, it's a very nicely built gun - And the cooldown isn't quite as bad as i make it sound, it only really goes full auto if you try and dump a mag in 3 seconds flat. Normal shooting, everything works perfectly except for the damn hop unit.
BigAl
Slightly off topic but could yu see if you can get any info on the Browning Hi Power when you next speak to them, cheers.
L4byr1nth
I've sent the e-mail, so we'll see, I guess.

I hope the HOP is interchangable with the TM - that would be awesome.

I wonder if the release date on Evike (next week?) will stick, or whether they'll push it back again?

Ben.

Handily enough, a friend of mine has just got his mitts on a TM M9 in chrome - I should see him some point this weekend, so i'll have a go at swapping the parts around. If it's compatible it'll make my day smile.gif

While i'm here, has anyone done a review of the WE M9? I couldn't see one, i may knock one out this evening. I might review the M9 'n all.
L4byr1nth
Got another e-mail from WE;

"1./ Will the Sword Cutlass be using the adjustable HOP from the other WE M9 models? Is it compatible with the new TM M9 adjustable HOP? Same as our other M92 guns with adjustable hop up.

2./ Do you have any information or pictures to share on the upcoming release of the WE Browning Hi Power? No pics available yet for release. In time, I'll post some 'spy photos' of the soon-to-be-released gun."

Ben.
kazhel
Looks like this got pushed back for the release date. From what I see looks like again.
L4byr1nth
Some new pictures up, by the looks of things;

http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.ph...oducts_id=31442

Still no image of the final finished gun, but those grips look awesome!
