This thread should come with a warning, time to change the pants. Must admit I will never get one, as it would end up just a wall hanger, unless I got into re-enacting....... Its a good excuse.

That thing is just so damn cool.
I'd get one if it wasn't for the fact I'd need a car just to carry it to my skirmish site. Hurray for driving lessons!
Wonder how much they'll be in the UK. You reckon the same as the other A&K M60?

...you are kidding right? There is no official "M60VN" designation for the M60 GPMG. It was first known as the T161 prior to being designated as the M60 in 1957, and subsequent models (updated models with various improvements) had designations of M60E1, E2, E3, E4 (E4 is essentially the Mk43 Mod 0/1) and of course the M60 B, C and D models, mounted mostly to vehicles.

I never knew the official designation for the VN model, but read the pic, it says M60E4 (its not the modern version, its vietnam)

Pretty much. I wasnt trying to say the A&K designation on that M60 was right, (although i'll go back and edit the previous post to include this) but rather what I was trying to say was that there is no "M60VN" designation.
edit: I cannot edit the previous post, lol.

MP44
M60
MG42

The reason he's asking is because it would have to be fixed to semi auto to buy one in New Zealand, so it doesn't actually mater that its different from the 249, as iirc its the same in the fact it can't be made to fire in semi automatic at all never mind permanently.

Yeah electronically does work but NZ customs are still iffy with it, so its pretty much easier not to..may have to try and convince them if the M60 is cheap enough tho

You sir are a star! Lol. I remember the rush on M249's when A&K brought those out and a little while later people started dumping them as they were too heavy for a full days airsoft.
When you consider an MP5 can have easily the same rof and range as a support gun, there is little going for a gun like an M60 in airsoft other than it looks amazing. Try running and gunning with one...
Still want though!
