CA's M203 shells are out finally! Saw them yesterday at the CA shop.
$6xx for 6 of them (HKD, of course), which seems DAMN good for the price...
Now, who knows how they perform?
Anyone in HK willing to go and try them out?

Hmm, roughly $80 bucks for 6 grenades....
That gives me a reason to get a AG36. Of course, I'm going to wait for some reviews because if they're like the old CA grenades, I'll pass.

WHAAAA? $80 for 6 grenades? Sounds like the perfect way to fill out that 203 vest.

Sounds great for the CAW revolver owners too.

yes it does. CAW owner could probably use it as a primary gun now.

Is that a conversion from HK$? Because if so, we can expect them to retail here for about £90 or something

I just hope they fire allright then. I may just buy them because they're cheap, not that i have a means of firing them though

The thing is, most good 'nades (

) cost about £40 each... we are to expect top quality here lads.

Can't seem to find photos of it...
Will see when I head out to Mong Kok again...
Oh, CA also has a replica ELCAN

Going for $600ish, I believe. Can't recall the price, but the scope felt nice and solid in my hand...

CA has also got plans for a SR25 magazine, two different one-piece top rail type thingies to go on the M15 with that strange new CA RIS set and IIRC a new flip up sight.

Darn, doesn't look like they have any sort of bb-retention thing on it. Rather, I don't see any external O-ring retention thingy on it. Too bad. Can't have everything for that price though.

well if the elcan is a zoom scope it should be awesome considering the quality of CA's other optics (I love the scope on my AUG

)

I was planning on getting the TGS one, although I think I will get the CA, I just hope it is 3x and not 4x.

You can just set the nades off by holding the nade with you 4 fingers and pushing the pin with your thumb.
M8 of mine who has a 203 done it al Light fighter with one in each hand.
It don’t really matter if the quality is that good ill be getting a few just to put green gas in to see how they go in my AG36. with .12 BB’s they have ok range so long as you have know side wind to blow then off target. So far with the king arms nades the filling valve has been the first thing to blow and not the o-rings. They may also make cheep spares if the parts are interchangeable.

I use madbulls, I hated my King Arms and MM rounds, that was probably because I didn't know how to use them and the O-rings had gone.
I'll get some of these when UNCO have them in and see how they compare, then I'll try the g&p grenades later after that I think.

yep
price looks good, but if they dont hold the bb's, they are useless.
if they keep blowing O rings, useless..
if they dont, I could offer a relativly cheap service, machining extra holes through the top (more capacity) and/or a madbull-style O-ring notch along the outer perimeter.
woo woo!
*adds fancy rotery table to mill wishlist*
hell for the cost of a good aeg you can pick up an m79 and 18 shells?!?
grenadier loadout here i come..

It makes you want to buy that grenadier vest from nam doesnt it?
Skarclaw
Jun 20 2006, 04:57 PM

I'm probably being dumb, but the thing I circled looks very similar to the notch in the barrel in my madbull grenade, I'm not sure though, the issue has really put me off buying the grenades now.

Same cost as the new g&p grenade 4 pack with pouches from ehobby.
Hmm, I think I'll go with the g&p ones unless someone can confirm the bbs don't drop out.
Cheers.

There are grenades on the market that have the BBs roll out on them? Why would anyone want a grenade like that?
Anyways kinda sucks the price is higher than I thought they would be ($70-80) but still seems like a decent deal if the grenades are any good.

Why is everyone assuming the BB's will roll out, i dont think any airsoft company would be stupid enough to make that...
n00bTard
Jun 21 2006, 03:18 PM
They don't roll out - they are very similar to the new G&P grenades (which I have) and there is a rubber O ring recessed quite a ways down in each tube/barrel. This O ring is far enough down, that only 3 bbs can be stacked in each tube (you'll need a loading tool to jam them down past the Oring) - this is what makes it an 18 rounder. The Oring both retains the bbs, and acts as a type of hopup when fired.
The G&Ps work great, I have the 4 pack, and fired the one shell using propane 7 times before I had to take it apart and reset the bearings. I hear these new CA ones are very similar, though I can't speak to their quality.
W.K.Shuridys
Jun 21 2006, 04:14 PM
You shouldn't have to reseat the bearings at all! That's pretty poor IMHO. I was looking forward to the G&P units but if they need to be disassembled and fixed every seven shots then forget it. I'll go for the Madbulls after all then, they may be expensive but at least they seem to work as advertised.
n00bTard
Jun 21 2006, 05:28 PM
Keep in mind, I use propane instead of the recommended gasses. I can't say that they would always need reset, but shells by all manufacturers do. The madbulls do need reset quite often, just they provide a very convenient method to do so. Of course, that is part of why they cost significantly more.
