 M700 Light Tactical Rifle

| Last Review Posted |
M700 Light Tactical Rifle I orded my Tanaka rifle after selling my hopefully final main battle AEG.
I ordered it from www.redwolfairsoft.com and it came two days after I orded it. Once again, another speedy ship from redwolf.
Waited for fedex guy to drive down my drive way, and finaly got the box in my hands. The box is much smaller than one would think. The gun is extremely pleasing to the eye with its full wood and metal construction. The Paint on the metal is great and is very dull. The Wood stock is finely finished.
I decided to rip the gun apart as soon as i got it. You need to unscrew the front sling post, and the 2 screws under the reciever. This alows you to pull the whole speal out so you can work on it. Once out, the outer barrel is easily removed. The outter barrel is thinner than a VSR g-spec barrel, and hollow. the reciever has the hopup, inner barrel, and trigger assembly attached to it. To remove the bolt, press a small button in between the trigger and mag release, then just pull the bolt out. The hop up is attached by two pins, the hop up nob, and a friction ring around the front. Remove those parts, and you can have the hop system out.
Next, the Bolt. The bolt is extremely nice. It has PCS(power control system) which allows you to adjust the FPS. My PCS came jammed back, which is bad. To unjam a pcs, first take out the two screws
then screw the PCS back to half way. When its jammed, its partialy off its threading and the styker spring its forcing off the threads, remove the screws removes the force. Push the bolt back together (the bolt just spreads apart, no flinging parts) then place the screws back in. Full fps=70% pcs open
PERFOMANCE:
The gun shoots like any other Tanaka. Amazing. The guns groupings were average AEG accuracy which is bad, but it made up for it in raw range. To fix the accuracy problem, a tightbore should be purchased. I was able to get approximatly 300 feet maximum range out of the gun, 200 effective.
In conclusion, this gun is well worth the money. The gun is rock solidly built and you could probably club someone to death with it (DONT TRY!!!) And the perfomance is well worth mentioning.
The only niggles ive had was with it were:
Gun was ruffed up (minor superfitial damage to the stocks finish)
Sup par sniper accuracy. |
