I bought this gun about 2yrs ago from kapowwe.com. I always wanted an m14 but was to cheap to buy the G&G or TM ones. For the price it is good.
Externals :
The gun is mostly plastic. The stock is plastic and so is the heat sheild. The barrel, cocking handle and bolt is metal. The gun is very long and heavy. It makes it sometimes hard move around in thicker woods.
Internals:
They arent too special. there all metal and put together well but are over greased. the hop up is annoying to fix and mines doesnt work that great.
Performance:
when the first time I used it it jammed up after two mags worth. Thinking the barrel is dirty or the hop up over adjusted. i cleaned the barrel and took off the hop up. I started shooting agian and if worked fine. However this problem kept coming up. I started to get annoyed. Till one day I used a stronger battery then I using in it and the problem went away. This gun has good range and accuratey. But it also eats up any batteries i use in it. For a stock gearbox the batteries disappear qucikly.
MAGS:
the mags are bitter sweet. they are full metal which is a plus but they jam up alot and they unwine randomly when the gun is used heavily. One thing I noticed is that tm mags dont catch in the mag well so they fall out if hit slighty
This gun is good for about a year I used it alot. It jamed up alot and i always had to clean it all the time. One day when i was using a 1800 9.6V battery the rof dropped while firing. thinking it was the battery i changed it out with a new one and it was the same. I opened the gun up and looked at the motor. the motor was black and very hot. Im glad I took it apart before it got worse. I replace it with the ics turbo 3000 motor, and the rof is insane now but im not sure how long will it last.
good gun for the price. Not the best m14 on the market but it holds it own. Its a good beginner gun and if you want to use it as a project gun this is great beacuse its a tm clone. |
