Positive aspects of the product (pros): Easy to fit. Makes pumping th SPAS easier.
Cons: Had to replace screws with longer ones.

I'd heard about the custom parts for the SPAS 12 shotgun range years ago and until recently, hadn't really bothered with them.

Then, the "Customizing Bug" bit me and i started to look for parts to make my SPAS look a little unique. One problem that i used to have was pumping the SPAS foregrip when my hands where wet. Getting a grip without wearing gloves would cause my hands to slip down the pump, causing misfeeds. Needless to say, this started to annoy me so i had a look on WGC (Wargamers Club) and Den Trinity's site.

That's when i came across Smokeys Vertical foregrip attachment for SPAS 12 shotguns. I'd always fancied a shotgun similar to Maruzens 2 handled M870 shorty, so i placed an order with Den Trinity through a friend.

Within a week, i recieved the foregrip with instructions and i hurried upstairs to unbox my SPAS shotgun.

Fitting the grip is very easy. On the underside of the pump-slide on the SPAS is a small section secured by a single screw. Once this is removed, a small section of the pump comes off. This is what the foregrip attaches to with the 2 large screws that come with it. Once the screws are tightened up, the foregrip is ready to use.

I've been asked a few times about the durability of the foregrip (namely, would it snap off with use).

The answer is no. The grip is solid and can take the same amount of punishment that the normal pump would. This makes for easier gripping and pumping on the SPAS shotgun which, if you're playing during rain can help to fire the weapon without slipping on the grip and causing a mis-fire.

It also makes the gun look more "Meaty" and adds to that "Unique" look. In my eyes, a worthwhile investment. Smokeys also do a similar foregrip for the Benelli series...

...but i don't have one of those...

yet... ;D

Darklite: Actually, I was using my AK - the shottie I had lent to Tink at that point.

*suitcase*, I best go and check it still works.
