I decided to ditch my mesh goggles in favour of something that didn't make my look like a fly. I also wanted something that I could use a scope with, worked with a helmet and didn't fog up. Most importantly, it would be able to protect me against high power rifles.
I set about making a list of things I wanted. I settled with the Bolle X800's or the ESS NVG goggles. I could only find the ESS ones on optactical, in the states, or off an australian on ebay. At this time, I had just introduced a mate to airsoft, and he was ordering his first AEG from gunsnguys, when I noticed the x800s were going for 28 pounds. Bargain! They retail in the UK for £50 pounds and have only recently come down to £35. I hijacked his order, and waited.
The goggles came in a black box, and in that was a black sock containing my goggles. I have since lost that black sock, but I have chopped up a school sock as a replacement when I need it. I have noticed people wear the sock on the side of the strap, but I havn't worked out a way of doing this short of chopping the strap into, something I'm not intent on doing.
After several skirmish dates, I have all but praise for the goggles. I sweat alot, and I play all day games, so the goggles did fog up a bit. At its least fogging it was clear, then some fog grew up at the top, and down at the bottom. At its worst it was in the centre as well, and required constant wiping. This was at the end of the day though.
I had invested in fog-tech wipes from Airsoft Scotland, but had foolishly left them at home. I used them later, and found them fantastic. No fog at all.
I would be lieing if I told you not to consider these. I rated them a 10, as some military units and specical forces use them, if it is good enough for them, it is good enough for airsoft. Top product.

Easily exchangable lenses, scratch-resistant, good looks, good value

|
Cons:

not optimum fit on tiny heads, fogs once every century or so :p

My entire team bought these quite a while ago when we were growing out of springers and at the same time realised that ski goggles simply wouldn't cut it. We're all glad we did.
I bought my goggles from NFM Caseb in Norway. This is irrelevant to most users of this site, but for the few norwegians out there: They come recommended. I didn't have any trouble with my orders.
The low profile and the smart design of the frame lets you forget that you're wearing these. They're also well suited for use with PASGT-shaped helmets and Protecs. I put some velcro on my Protec to keep the strap in place. The only 'problem' I have with these is that they don't fit optimally on my head, as my head is rather small. This doesn't make them less comfortable to wear and isn't really a problem, especially as I assume most people have normal heads and won't even need to think about this.
I later bought the grey lens for these, as the sun was bothering me. Another fine investment.
I can't recommend these goggles highly enough.

Fogs sometimes.

I was looking for some kind of non full face protection, that wasn't mesh and wasn't those glasses with scarily large gaps on the sides.
Then I found these, after reading how real special forces use them and seeing many pictures of airsofters and soldiers wearing them plus wolf armouries review, I knew they would be a good choice.
And for once I was right, yay. Anyway the goggles. they are fully adjustable to many head sizes, they are pretty comfortable things, if they are uncomfortable after a while then they are too tight. Lookswise I think they go best with helmets, and are designed to go with something like the MICH but what you wear with them is up to you.
Yes they do get foggy sometimes but I haven't got around to buying fog tec yet.
overall: fantastic, worth the price.

i know other people have done reviews but i thought id add my bit.
these were brought as serious eyewear, for when i needed goggles which i could trust with my eye seight at stake. needless to say, im not dissapointed
they look cool, feel comfortable, look good and are very hard wearing and perfrom flawlessly for me.
Packaging - a white cardboard box, goggles are contained with a sock which can also be used for a lense cleaner. my sock? cut the bottom open, took a piece of string from the closer, cut some more holes and viola, a double closing goggle sock at no extra cost. getting them on the goggles is a doddle, inside the goggle around the temple area there is a small ball, push it outwards and the strap attachment pops off, slide on sock, apply force in the opposite manner to reattach strap. easy.
Performance
the lense came pre-caoted with anti-fog and anti-scratch, always useful. as these goggles are low profile they shouldnt interfere with anything. visability is wide and clear, some of the best lenses ive used.
Durability
well. im pretty sure any real-deal operator who uses these uses them for a good reason, so i dont see that being a problem
Comfort
deff. the most comfortable goggles ive worn. no fabric liner which will wear out, these babys are surrounded by a soft rubber which moulds nicely to your face and is very soft on the cheeks. strap is adjustable and even has the tabs coming out sideways so that it keeps the goggles near you face when the straps wrapped around your helmet
Build Quality
excellent, simple, robust and all good quality materials
anything bad to say about them?
nope!
Conclusion
the best goggles ive ever used... plus these babys make you look like a BAMF when they're sitting on your lid!
the only downside i could see in these is the cost, but you get more then your moneys worth...
in the market for serious goggles? if so, X800's should be on the top of your list.
