Just an amendment to Arnie's excellent and helpful review.
In the Stripping the gearbox section, Arnie says:
"With the grip plate removed, now have a look at the wrap around plate at the front of the gearbox. The two screws there need to be removed as that secures the gearbox to the front of the grip. With that removed, ensure the fireselect switch is set to safe and then slowly ease the gearbox out the grip pushing it by pushing on the motor housing itself."
If you remove this plate, then the spring and safety catch will fall out, which is a pain, as Arnie points out.
However, if you look at http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/reviews/ca36c/gearbox/IMG_4116.JPG and check out just diagonally down and left of the tip of the screwdriver, there is the head of a pin which goes through the grip and the wrap around plate.
Push this pin out, and you can remove the gearbox from the grip without taking off the plate and losing the safety catch and spring.
You only need to take out the front screw from this plate to get the gearbox apart, rather than the screw which holds he plate to the gearbox.

Problems with closing the handguard if the Battery is inside.

Very nice. I attached a 9,6v battery and with the 14bbs/sec this Weapon really impressed me. The g36c shoots very precise and is definitly a good Weapon. The g36c is one of the few guns which are built with fiberglass which is a good alternative to steal. There are no loose parts and the upgrade possibilitys are ok. There are costom handguards for large batteries. Thats what i bought, so there is no more problem for not enough energy. This gun really has everything you need. Several relevant parts are metal, so it's a robust weapon and it wont break as easy.
