Positive aspects of the product (pros): Excellent Customer Service!!! Ultra Honest!!!
Negative aspects of the product (cons):

I purchased my first AEG form Airsoft Extreme (AEX) before they opened any of their retail store fronts. (On a side note this P90 was never upgraded and still fires the same as when new)

The 3 founders of AEX have ALWAYS been ultra helpful and will even call and talk on a real telephone to make sure you ordered everything you need. Since they have opened their store front locations all staff at AEX have always been very knowledgeable and helpful.

Their Service/Upgrade people know their stuff and on a few occasions have talked me out of uneeded upgrades. The upgrades and repairs they have done on my guns have bee top notch! They do the job right the first time.

AEX is also very picky about the quality of products they offer and I rememeber a few years ago they stopped sellign some brand(s) of questionable quality. All staff at AEX are Airsoft Enthusiasts so they have real experience with most items they carry.

Their prices are great considering they are importing almost all items. They have excellent US stock levels and are constantly getting the US airsofters the latest products.

And finally, Airsoft Extreme has always been a consistent supporter of US based airsoft events and airsoft community.

New Website is live! FINALLY! ;P

Positive aspects of the product (pros): A great deal of merchandise to look at
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Salesmen need some classes

I really did some homework before buying our second set of airsoft weapons. This time I either wanted to stick with Classic Army or Mauri though I wasn’t real sure which one’s that we wanted without feeling and checking them out up close and in person so I picked my son up after school and we drove the 70 miles down to AEX of Sacramento. I always prefer to help our local companies by purchasing directly from them but unfortunately sometimes they do leave you feeling a bit dissatisfied. I realized when I went in there that I was going to pay a couple of hundred bucks more for all of the equipment by not buying online, but just being able to drive down there if I have a problem is all that it really takes to keep my business. The deals and specials that they offer online are not what they offer in the store so we ended up paying full retail for everything and the starter kit that I saw online for a good price and wanted to purchase was not available to me in person.

My son and I spent about an hour down there looking at everything that they had on the walls and their selection was very impressive but of the two salesmen that was there at the time, I ended up with the lemon. He really seriously made me feel like he didn’t really need or want my business. I asked him a couple of times about the high end AR15’s with some added accessories that were on the special wall which sold between $600 to $1000 and unfortunately my response from him made me feel like he didn’t think that I was good enough to be asking about them. He wouldn’t thoroughly answer my questions on anything and he did give me the run around a number of times so I didn’t buy that $900 hopped up AR that I saw. I just figured that it wasn’t meant to be. I figured that he still knew a lot more than I did about this stuff and I was still listening to his way of thinking. I’m sure that he was thinking that this was my first purchase or maybe that because I was still wearing my work clothes that possibly he was wasting his time on this poor old goat. I was in there to find the two best weapons that I could find, one being for my 14 year old son, and then one for myself. I was planning on not spending more than $1500 or so. The reason that I am willing to spend this much on a new purchase is not only because I think that they are better weapons but I feel that I will have a much better cash return on them when I’m ready to sell these and buy the next set.

Being that I am an American I really wanted to stick with the American weapons. The AK series just doesn’t do anything for either of us so we asked to see the AR15 series. We looked at the Tokyo Marui Thompson and I really didn’t like the feel of it so it went back up on the shelf. I also looked at the MP5’s and though it did feel real good I couldn’t buy something that had as bad of a wobble in the but stock as that from the factory. I could see that the handle on the MP5 would break before long so it also went back on the wall. My son really liked the M15A4 Carbine and he was able to feel it and set it up to fit him. I tried to talk him into getting the CQB but he wanted THAT Rifle. Me on the other hand, I wanted a high-end fast weapon that I could also use for long distance and at this point the salesman was very helpful. He showed me the M15A4 Rifle and also told me that at this time it was much more accurate than the sniper rifles. That pretty much had me sold but I wasn’t sure that I really needed that accurate of a weapon. There was another customer in there that really knew his stuff and I got all of the questions that I asked answered really well by him. I liked the looks of the CQB and asked the salesman what the difference was as far as speed and internal components and I pretty much got the same dull lacking answer from him along with the fact that they didn’t have the batteries for it and he didn’t have any idea if they would ever have them in stock again in his life time. He just didn’t have the enthusiasm that I was looking for in a salesman that really wants to help you buy the right thing the first time. You know the kind of guy that I’m talking about. So I asked the other customer what he would do and I got the full treatment from this guy. He told me everything about both weapons and why I should buy the CQB weapon over that one. A big round of thanks goes to this guy because it was because of him that I ended up going back and finally making the right purchase there at AEX of Sacramento.

We had finally decided on the two weapons that we wanted to buy. The M15AR Carbine and the M15A4CQB both by Classic Army. I wanted to get everything that I needed right there the first time so that I wouldn’t have to drive back down there again until I was out of ammo. The first problem that I had was that he had no battery for the CQB and he couldn’t give me an arrival time for it even if I special ordered it. He just DIDN”T KNOW and couldn’t say... Man did this guy give me the feeling that I sucked as a customer or what? Even the other customer said it would be some time in 2007 as we all laughed at his answers...lol. I finally decided to buy the rifles there and then order the battery and everything else from one of his competitors online and that is exactly what I told him. Then he went in the back and asked the owner when the batteries were going to be in and I got a date of two days from now. All was well again, I could live with that, and making another trip was fine with me because we were getting exactly what we wanted. My son was happy and ready to take his rifle home and start shooting it right then. I also wanted 4 extra magazines, the batteries, the charger, and some more ammo to add to our stock, among some other things that he didn’t have in stock there. He did have the scope rail for the Carbine but he only had two extra clips. That was all fine and I could live with that for now so he totaled it up and I started writing him a check for the $1000+ US dollars. Well... he wouldn’t take my check.... Man the business’s these days just flat out don’t want to make money. I told him that we could call my bank and verify the funds and everything, and I was ready to sign a receipt or anything to make the purchase. He then told me that I could go to the bank down the street and cash a check with them and then bring him back the money. So that was that and I wasn’t going to drive 30 miles to the closest branch of my bank and then back there again when I still wouldn’t have the battery or a working weapon for myself. I told him to put everything in the back and that I would come back with the cash two days later when the battery came in. I had no choice and had been slapped in the face enough for one day by this guy so we left empty handed. I never did let my son see how bad I felt about this whole ordeal. I called the salesman up on the phone and asked him if he would charge the batteries so that they would be ready to go when I picked them up and said that he didn’t have a charger there... SO I hung up and thought about it and then called him right back and asked if he would just use the charger that he was selling me to charge them with. Ahh Haa, A real bright idea! He then said that the owner had a fast charger and that they would have them ready!!! Yea Baby we were almost there. 

I picked my son up from school the next day and we decided to call them a day early and ask a couple of questions. They had gotten the batteries in that morning and our rifles were ready. So we ran down there, paid him the cash that he wanted so badly, picked them up, and brought them back to the house. We then put the scope that I had here on my sons weapon and were ready to go. Being that we were coming in a day early they haddn’t had the time to charge our batteries but that was ok for us. We could charge them at home.

Well guess what?
We got everything ready and the charger that he had sold us didn’t come with the right connection so it wouldn’t fit our batteries and we were once again let down hard by this guy. I called him on the phone and told him what was up and he said that it was something that he had just found out about and he didn’t have another charger and didn’t know when he would be getting one in (excuses, excuses). That was it, I was done with these scum bags and going to return everything the next day. Man what a bad experience and I had already driven 350 miles for these guys. He told the owner and he said that they had the right part on a different charger and to come in and he would give it to me for free... I told the salesman that he should just get in his car and bring it to me that night and as always he really wasn’t willing to do anything for any customer.. Oh well another day and another 175 miles wouldn’t really hurt me that bad would it?
So I put the battery in my sons gun to se if it had any charge at all; and it had enough charge in it from the factory to burn through 4 clips before it died. That was enough, he was happy, and that is what counts in my life.

I think that the owner should really look at his staff there and make the needed changes or give them the instruction needed to satisfy a customer and get him out of there happy the first time. Airsoft won’t always be on top so it’s best to get while the getting is good and make sure that your customers are treated right so they will return.
I really liked the store. It was first class though the need to have more stock of the needed items like clips, batteries, and maybe some safety glasses would be nice. This is the only high end Airsoft store that I could find in my area so there is room here for more business opertunities and I think a competitor would make a real killing here as well. Here’s my summary based on a 1 to 10 scale having never seen another airsolft store.
For the store front a 10,
The weapons, though few brand names were there, they were nothing but quality so it gets a 9,
For the add on type of accessories I give it an 8,
For the needed parts like batteries, clips, chargers it only gets a 4 at best
As for the sales staff I can’t judge on just this one incident and the salesman really was a big help even though he came across bad that first day. SO for him because not all was bad I’ll give him a 3. For the other salesman that helped me when I went back for the charger cable and everything else, he really left you feeling good and satisfied so he gets an 8.
Would I go back? There’s no where else to go around here that has this quality of product so yes, I will definitely go back. Good customers get known and even though this time I was’t one of them, the next time I will be. It can only get better from here.
Never give up on the locals no matter how bad it can get. They don’t always come across the way that they want to the first time but that is just a fact of life. We all have some bad days and we all have some good ones. So never judge everything bad just because everything seems to be going against you. In the end if you keep at it, everything turns out ok. All in all I’m really happy with what I ended up with even though in this case I probably should have found another dealer

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Good pricing, Selection, Very Professional Site
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Slow and Indescriptive Customer Service

I haven't ordered much from this retailer except for a few upgrade parts and ammunition, so this will be relatively short compared to my other reviews. I've only purchased two orders from them, but I've made quite a few emails to them and phone calls as well.

I'm going to start with some good aspects of AEX. I thought they had good pricing on alot of things, for example .. $209.95 for the TM MP7A1. UNC and Redwolf has them for $200.00, not including those pesky customs charges and shipping fees. Their upgrade part prices are also very good, and that's why I ordered mine from them. They also had alot of things for me to choose from in terms of both upgrades, equipment, and guns.

They recently got a new website layout, which I found very easy to navigate and use. It also looks very nice, and the red matches their logo quite nicely.

However, now to the bad things. I found their customer services to be quite slow and indescriptive in both the email form and the phone form. I would email them one day, and have to wait perhaps 2 to 3 days for a reply at times. The phone would also be neglected at some times, but that's probably normal. Their replies though, were usually very straightforward (not a bad thing), but they didn't provide any details.

Well, that's just about it, I do recommend this retailer for their upgrades, as they have a reputation for professional installations and such. However, if you absolutely need to contact them, make sure you call the store, don't send an email.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Welcoming, no pressure, very kind, fast service, great prices and package deal. (SANTA CLARA AEX)
Negative aspects of the product (cons): none

I bought from Airsoft Extreme of Santa Clara.

Ok, so i have been asking my dad for an aeg for about 6 months. Between those 6 months, i have been extremely busy with school, JV football, and marching band. After it was over, my birthday came around. Dissapointed that birthday gift was a cake. I asked my dad for the aeg. After asking him directly, he said do whatever and order it. My dad didn't know there was any shop around. I didn't like AEX prices at first, i read there website, wow, 30 day warranty. So, after school, my dad picked me up from school on a thursday instead of my carpooler. In the car, I talked to my dad saying there is an AEX store about 5 mins away from here.

He agreed to drive me there to buy my gun. We stopped by his work, then we left to AEX. it took us like 10 minutes to get there because there were many turns and traffic lights. We followed the directions according to Yahoo Maps, and my dad passed by AEX Santa Clara because it was at the end of a small complex. My dad went all the way around from back to get to front and found an easy parking spot.

I've seen AEX of Santa Clara on website, never really seen it myself. We walked in and it was sereal to me. I always wanted to see aeg's upclose than on internet. The store was surprising filled with 5 people in line. By time I reached the counter, 2 people bought their guns. I walked in, and i noticed no one came up to me, one asian dude that worked in the store was scrambling around with a list filled with check marks. I assume his the guy finding the stuff he needs to deliever. O yeah, back to the store, when you enter, you immeditately see like 60 guns on wall infront of you and 40 guns on the right. It's amazing. Store isn't huge, its perfect size, some couches on the way left. Store was very very neat and welcoming. I talked up to counter, by time i walked to counter, 4th person walked out the door with a gun. A tall guy with blondish reddish spiked hair came up to me and asked me how he can help me. I asked to see the AUG. He asks which one. I said the green one and replied thats the A1. If you go to the airsoft extreme website, he is on the 3rd winning prize raffle ribbon picture (w/robert aceves), the blond and kinda reddish spiked hair guy on the right of the CA Mp5 winner. That is the guy that was helping me. So he placed the gun on the glass cause and started describing me how the gun worked. I noticed the 4th guy that walked out the door bought a CA AUG A1. The shop worker told me that the one he took off the shelf was the last one. I though ew at first. 290 dollars for gun, from the shelf, no discount? Then I asked him if the aug has been tested (responded, no) and asked to test the aug. He respectfully said defintely with my dad behind me. he brought me to a small shooting chamber place. He showed me how to load up the gun and turn off and on the safety. He connected the gun to some short of machine, car battery size. It seemed to be the power source, not a charger but it makes it easy that u dunt have to put battery in and close the rubber butt plate, just let a long wire dangle from the back of the gun. both of us werent wearing eye protections and he said, this is how you chrono your gun. He rested the barrel of the gun against the top of the chrono and fire couple times in semi auto. He fired at the metal wall and bb's came flying back at us. He ducked remembering he forgot to put on safety glasses which i thought to be halarious cause u see an adult diving down to aviod bb's while i just stood there. bb's ddint even come near to where we were standing.

The CA AUG A1 chronoed 340 fps so i had no complaints about it off the shelf.

Then he gave me the gun and said "shoot all you want." He then returned to customer he was helping at same time as me. I fire about 150 rds. and i was satified already. I accidently turned safety on. This shop employee was a very fast worker, like i said, by the time i got to counter, he sold guns to 3 people. One of them carrying 3 guns out of the store. He was helping me while firing the gun, and helping other guy buying a TM Type 89. He popped hes head in after helping the other customer and asked why i stopped firing. showed me how to turn safety off and i fired couple more rounds.

I stopped, unpluged the wire and brought to back to the glass cabinet. The other customer seemed to have left momentaraly but hes type 89 was ready to be packed up. The fast working spike hair guy, came back and I asked him to see the CA AK, and he said "aww... so you don't want the aug." I thought that was great response, shows he doesnt need to act all superior to a boy who just turned a year older. I told him I was still going to buy the CA AUG. He let me hold the CA AK, told me about it. It had nice weight and everything, and I told him if i coud test it. He said that it performs like every other gun, hestatiting to say no but didnt say no. I gave gun back to him and thanked him, then he put gun back on shelf. I had my dad hold the CA AUG A1, and he said i could buy it. Guy went got box, guy that was buying type 89 came back into store, and guy returned with box, placed it safely into the box. The other employee look for very small internal parts at other side of room said, "you dropped something." Spiked hair said o, picked up the adjustment tool that was 1/4 inch and put into the box. Keen eyes by the employee across the room, that was my tool to adjust the scope. I asked for battery, he placed 8.4v 1400 mah intellect on the glass cabinet, i asked for charger, he placed smart charger (hi-tech) on the glass cabinet. The things would have costed 55 bucks, then i said I wanted beginners package and he placed toy-tec .20 bb's onto the glass cabinet and said "thats 15 dollars off the package." My guy showed and had my dad sign the waiver, pay for the gun, show me the rules/law paper stuff in less than a minute. Gave me bag with big smiley face for my assessories.

Bam I'm of the store with a huge box and some goodies.

I spent total time of 15 minutes in there. I asked about the gun, test fired, got package, paid, dad signed waiver, i read the airsoft rules/law printed on sheet. and i was out of there.

I thought the experience was great. I spent total of 350, 290 for gun, 60 for 8.4v 1400 mah intellect, hi-tech smart charger, and bag toytec .20 bb's, for 60 bucks. Toy tec bb's suck by the way. And I was out of there. 370 dollars because of California Tax.

I defintely recommend Airsoft Extreme of Santa Clara because two people ran it. It was actually 1 guy running it, that one guy was able to sell 8 guns to 5 people in 20-40 mins. and that other guy spoted my adjuster falling out of box, i was standing next to the box and i didn't evne see that fall out. No wonder the other guy was given the job to find online orders of very small internal parts.

I am very pleased with AEX, experienced no problems with my CA AUG A1, extremely love it.
This was during Christmas sale, the items I bought had no sales except for the battery. which was like 4 dollars off. The items I bought from the store were very good quality. I had a good experience, I would love to go back there any day.

Negative aspects of the product (cons):

I bought my very first AEG from the Santa Clara walk-in store and i would recommend there walk-in store the staff is very nice and very help full. However ther online store is different, item could be out of stock and wont even say it is and when u order it they wont tell you it is out of stock either.I just ordered a G&P M4A1 from them a couple days ago when it says it was in stock i even called to double check if it was in stock, the person said it was and ur order will be processed by the end of the day, guess what end of the day came order status changed from pending to Processing, then Porecessing Requested 1x(item number) from LA, which means the item is out of stock and backordered and needed to be shiped from the LA store to there warehouse. I dont see why they couldnt have shipped it from the LA store to my house, and another thing that pissed me off about the online store is they charged my credit card BEFORE they even shipped my item out not had it in stock at the time.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Informed, well-meaning, friendly staff. Always good to browse.
Negative aspects of the product (cons):

The AEX San Diego store Is the one I go to most often. I find them decently located, with a Knowledgeable staff, fun atmosphere, and a good attitude, normally. Being a Marine/Navy town, there tends to be a bit of cursing at the store sometimes.
There are couches for the sitting, a small shooting tunnel, and the active/regular clientele are always helpful, and even sometimes just as helpful as the employees. I have not got a single lemon, as their warranty is convenient and free. Overall, their price, selection and staff rate this store higher than just about any internet store.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Good prices, careful salesmanship, okay selection, good customer service, Very good at internal work
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Shipping is a bit high for some, A little be too careful I feel

Out of all the American dealers I would have to say AEX has the best customer service and is the most competent on internal work. In the past I've had numerous guns worked on by them and I've always been very satisfied with their work. Their responses to querys are always very fast and they actually read and put some time into their responses. About my only complaint with them is that they are a very careful and almost overly curious that there's alot of "red tape" involved in most transactions with them but that certainly should not be a reason to not buy from them.
