Positive aspects of the product (pros): Cheap and great looking, hell it even works too
Cons: Its not an ACOG is it!

King Arms Scope 04

I thought I would do a quick review of this product as I was very impressed with it given the relatively cheap cost.

King Arms make all kinds of airsoft gear and attachments and are usually one of the cheapest manufacturers. I got this particular scope in HK for about US$55 as I wanted a scope that looked good for posing. This scope does look good. It is full metal and coated in that flat black paint that’s really hard to scratch off.
The coolest thing about this scope is the pop up end caps, these cover the scopes lenses when it is not in use and I think they look trick! One of the other nice things about this scope is the illuminated dot can be set to either red or green. The dot also has five stages of illumination so you can always find the exact right shade for whatever environment you may be playing in.
The scope comes with a single ring that attaches to a 20mm weaver base via a single bolt that is not a thumb screw but is big enough to tighten pretty well with your fingers. The scope itself is fastened to the ring using 6 (3 per side) hex nuts. I was a little concerned when I first saw this as I wondered if it would be susceptible to movement beiung only a single mounting point. However, the ring is made from an almost spring steel like metal and although it does flex a little, it ‘springs’ right back to where it needs to be. This is good as during a skirmish you will inevitably bang the scope or something similar, so the ‘spring’ in the ring will help adsorb some of this. One other important thing to note with this scope is the mount has a hole so that if the battery goes dead during a game or whatever you can still use the iron sights.
King Arms have also been kind enough to include batteries and a hex nut key so when you buy this baby, you’re good to go!

All in all this scope is a great alternative to an ACOG. I brought this one for my MC51 and must admit it looks quite good. So if you’re on a budget and want something better than iron sights this is the scope for you!

INTRODUCTION
I First wanted to get a Red Dot Sight (RDS) for my replica right away because of Delta in the movie black hawk down. I really liked the way they looked. I was also thinking of getting a ACOG but after comparing the RDS and the ACOG on a CA M15A4 Carbine i concluded (in my opionion) that the ACOG looked better on the M15 Rifle and the RDS looked better on the Carbine. I ordered this from E-Hobby Asia for 42.99 on a monday and got it the following Wed. 10 days like they said. so A+ for them.

Build Quality
The King Arms RDS has a all metal build to it. The only thing that is not metal on the RDS are the lenses and the Lense coverings. The Red dot has seven brightness levels. Which i think is great i use 5 during the day and it does a very good job on being bright. The levels increase in strengh from 0-7 (0 being off). The offset mount is also a very nice feature because it raises the RDS up to be equal with the front sight. 5/5 for build quality.

^--- that is on level 3 brightness (sry the pic doesnt really do a great job.. but oh well)

Adjusting the Dot
Adjusting the dot is fairly easy and you barely notice it being moved (although you eventually will notice that it has moved into the postion you want it to be in) there are dials on top and the right side of the RDS. The top one being for moving the dot up and down. and the right one moving the dot left and right.

Skirmish Ability
I fine the King Arms RDS to be a perfect friend on the battlefield. As any RDS or ACOG would, the dot provides a quick refrence point fast than the Irons could. Thus creating Improved and faster aiming. I think that it has gotten me alot more kills than my irons would because in a tight situation i just look at the person and put the dot on him/her and fire away.
5/5 for skirmish ability.

Pros & Cons

Pros:
+ All metal
+ 7 Brightness levels
+ Extremely User friendly
+ Acts as a great reference Point

Cons:
- To tell you the truth there is nothing wrong with this RDS in my opinion

Thank you for reading my review. I hope that it has helped you decide which RDS you would like to get if you are thinking about getting one. I highly Reccommend it and give it 4 thumbs up, 5 stars, and a 10/10. Thanks again to SWAT A4 for helping me w/ the layout.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Great build quality, Comes with scope covers, riser and quick release
Cons: Still not an ACOG

I was in the market for a new red dot and found the King Arms 30mm red dot with 7 levels of brightness control. I couldn't find any reviews of the sight online so I threw caution to the wind and picked it up at a cost, shipped, of about $50. A little more then a 30mm BSA red dot but this one comes with a scope mount that is also a high mount to raise it fair enough off of the AEG to use with a full face mask. That alone is worth the extra money to me.

In addition to being a high rise mount it is also a see through mount. So if I forget to replace the batteries or the scope stops working in the field I can still use the iron sights as they are not blocked by the mount. The nut on the quick disconnect could have been designed differently to provide some traction for your thumb. As it is now it is very slippery. The quick disconnect requires a pair of pliers to be safe. I wouldn't trust $50 worth of scope to my thumb.

The highest brightness level washes out in anything but the brightest of days making it fairly tough to get a tight grouping. The solution... Turn down the brightness! At level 4 (of 7) I found it to be perfect indoors and out. The level 1 setting (lowest) is still a little too bright and I would have liked to see some more variance between 1 and 4. Not a deal killer but a consideration if you play a lot at night or low light levels indoors.

It really does feel like the scope could take a beating but I'm not going to try with mine. But I'm sure it will get its share of abuse in the field.
