I have chosen to paste the contents of many of emails between Airsoft Club and myself in this review. This will elevate any doubts people may have of this review being biased. Read the facts and make your own informed decisions in regard to purchasing from this company.
In late August 2004 I decided I would like a PSG-1 style grip on my G3/SG-1, after trolling the net I found that Carrot made just what I was looking for. A few days later I was searching for a retailer and found Airsoft Club were advertising it as in stock.
I placed my order 05/09/04, paid $111.32 by PayPal and had confirmation by email that day. 21/09/04 I emailed them enquiring where the item was and was told, by an email the same day, that it would be with me in 7-10 days.
03/10/04 I emailed them again asking what was happening to my order, no reply was received so I sent another email 07/10/04. I had a reply later that day telling me the item was out of stock and would I like to choose something else. This was my first sign of trouble, how could they tell me the item was on the way when they had none in stock? They were either lying of incompetent.
This was my reply 07/10/04…
“Dear Sir,
As there are no other companies making a sniper grip for the G3 range, I would like a full refund of $111.32 plus the extra to cover the cost of receiving the refund into to my PayPal account.
To say that I am very disappointed with the service I have received would be a gross understatement. I have just checked your website and it is still showing it to be in stock.
It has taken you 32 days to tell me the item is actually out of stock. There has been a severe lack of communication on your part, I have been told the goods were to be dispatched when there were clearly none to be had.
This is the first time I have used your company and it will defiantly be the last. Please contact me when you have completed the refund transaction.”
I received no reply to this, nor the 10 further emails sent between 09/10/04 and 11/11/04. I then had the following…
“Dear Sir,
We are very sorry to miss you refund, and your refund will progress at this end of month, so sorry about the delay of your order.”
The end of the month came, and guess what? That’s right, no refund! So between 01/12/04 and 02/01/05 another 7 emails were sent. Then 02/01/05 I had this little gem sitting in my inbox…
“your refund will ASAP send to you.
Can you let us know again £64.29 GBP = ? USD”
Not only do PayPal have an option that allows you to send payments in several currencies but I do believe there are many free currency converters on the net as well. Biting my tongue I gave them the amount as requested the same day. Then… Nothing.
Another 5 emails were sent 05/01/05 – 17/01/05, then at last 18/01/05 a response. Just not the one I expected…
“Sorry to delay to reply to you,
Since the money charge is too small,
in the Hong Kong bank, it will charge HK$300 for this,
We have provide other option is you can request some product to exchange this refund,
or you can buy some other product to minus the original refund.”
At that time HK$300 = £16.21, this was my reply 19/01/05…
“You told me on 13th November 2004
"Dear Sir,
We are very sorry to miss you refund, and your refund will progress at this end of month, so sorry about the delay of your order."
I will only accept a full refund. You offered me the option of other goods 7th October I didn't want anything then and I still don't.
I have been lied to and ignored since 5th September regarding this order. I do not care if you have problems with the Hong Kong banks, you told me I would have a refund. You have had my money for over 5 months. I want it back.
I am getting very tired of waiting for replies to my emails and tired of waiting for my money. I ordered because you had the item advertised as being in stock. You didn't, and now you say you will not give my money back. By this you are in fact stealing my money.
Refund, now.”
From them the same day…
“We will also send you the money,
But we also need one day to do this.
The best ,is you can exchange the product,
we are so sorry to delay to reply to you again.”
A few sent emails asking where my refund was and I get this 24/04/05…
“For your request,
It will be ok,
We will send you the money as soon as possible.”
Several emails were sent by me over the next few days asking when ASAP was. Airsoft Club informed me that they were having a lot of trouble with PayPal and there would be an undetermined delay on the refund. I found it strange that they did not mention this on their website at all. Presumably if the cannot use PayPal they would not be able to use it as a form of payment on orders.
A few emails were sent asking if the problem was sorted out yet, then on 21/03/05 I was informed that Alan had resigned and it would be sorted quickly as soon as they had some information about my problem. They did not know whether I was owed money of stock items.
I replied, giving as much detail about what had happened over the previous 6 months. This is the response 02/04/05…
“It is out of stock.
Thanks.”
Huh?? My reply the same day…
“It was never in stock that is why it was agreed that I would have a refund of £62.49. Please refund this, it has been 6 months of excuses and delays.”
04/04/05 and it started to go around again…
“I feel sorry for this case. Would you like to purchase other items instead of the grip?
Refund is possible Sir, and we do not mean to waste your time and energy.”
I tell them yet again that there are no other product I want and that I would just like to have the money refunded. 12/04/05 from Airsoft Club…
“Please allow us some time to deal with it.
Sorry for that.”
That was the last communication I had. Since then I have sent a further 41 emails with no response.
The bad news is that I’m still waiting for my refund over a year since the order went in. I have had nothing but delays, broken promises, lies and incompetence to deal with. The good news is I managed to get a 2nd hand PSG-1 grip and graft it onto my G3, not quite as easy as I thought it would be but it has worked.
If you still wish to purchase products from Airsoft Club that is up to you. But be warned, if it is out of stock, what you have just read could happen to you.
So now to the scores…
Website: 5/10 (Good range but stock levels are not updated enough)
Order page: 7/10 (Easy to use for items and payment but shipping info confusing)
Delivery & packing: N/A (Unfair to mark this as it never happened)
After sales service: 0/10 (They have no clue what this is)
Overall: 3/10 (Good range let down by very poor service)
------------------------------

“No user serviceable parts inside” … I’ll be the judge of that.

They never fulfilled my order and I've lost the $119 I paid them.

I just read the other review of Airsoft Club and felt it was definitely necessary to let everyone know that what happened to the other guy is pretty much exactly what happened to me.
I placed an order in Feb. 2005 for a gear box for my TM M4a1 which was in stock. I paid $119 and waited 2 weeks. No shipping information arrived so I requested the status of my order. They said it would ship out in a few days. Waited and nothing happened.Month later I e-mailed and they said my ordwer was delayed and to be patient. Few weeks later I asked for a refund and they said they couldn't without their bosses approval. They just kept stalling and eventually I asked for at least to get something else of equal value. He said maybe but nothing every happened.
It's now around 8 months later and I've finally deleted all my e-mails back and forth with them cause I can't stand seeing them now. I've given up and lost $119. will never order from them again and recommend you don't either. There are just too many other reliable companies to take a chance with Airsoft Club.

Well, as I read things about Airsoftclub too late, I might aswell tell you my side. of the story.
I searched for a really cheap shop on the internet, and found airsoftclub, they had a nice looking webpage, and who would have thought they could have been such assholes, excuse my French.
Well, I ordered my products, and they were answering my emails almost daily, about billing options and such, but after i payed, that was back in February 2005, I got almost no emails. They blamed on everything, holidays to the new sa-80, and people quitting their jobs. I tried to get them to notice me, and in June they even call me, they would send it in 4 days. Right.
Now almost 9 months after they got my money, I can't get them to reply my emails, nothing, nada. So I have kinda given up hope. Anyway, I would like to warn everyone not to buy from them, because they are cheating lying bastard, that deserve to get their balls chewed off. Adios.
