Positive aspects of the product (pros): solid high quality steel, smooth strokes, easy fitting.
Cons: unfortunately, not for scw2 SV's.

These are the steel WA "hi-performance" valve. Versus their hi-output valves which are hi-flows, these aren't hi-flows but the gas per stroke is supposed to be the same as WA's factory valves. so theoretically, if you factory valves gives you 30 shots per charge, these should also give you 30 shots per charge. Whereas the hi-flows would only give you around 24 or even less.

And this is the reason why I picked these instead of the hi-flows. Another reason is that the factory WA valves are made of brass, a rather soft material that suffer from friction on the strokes after a few mags. These steel ones however is completely smooth and unless you have an insane hammer spring in, these valves will last a lifetime™.

It works perfectly for my single stack 1911 DK. The number of shots per charge is the same and it's still smooth after 10 mags. There's no visible cooldown effect when used as opposed to the hi-flows.

For my SCW2 SV 6" however, it's nitemare! The cycles range from double feed, to 2 strong shots and 1 weak shot, to 1 strong 1 weak, to misfeed, and to a strike and not blowing back at all.

The trouble is caused by the SCW2 firing pin that didn't strike deep enough to engage the valve fully everytime. I tried it again by not fully tightening the valve and it did work for 10 shots before freezing up my hammer.

But then you'll ask but your DK is also SCW2. Yes it is, so I went to UN and ask ah ming there. He told me it has to do with the SV magcatch, and the height of the SV mag when situated in the grip vs the single stackers. Just a bit lower and you miss the centre which should give the most stable stroke.

For an old system SV it would be no problem as one can always increase the fire-pin's length. For a SCW2 SV however, there's not much you can do.

Please do not take this review as a complaint. These valves are excellent on a single stacker. That's why I gave it an 8. And especially if you have a stronger than normal hammer spring, you need these. The brass ones won't stand a chance. They lost points on not satisfying me with my SV, and there're no warnings that it won't work well with an SV while advertised to be a WA replacement.

**UN offered a solution, replace the last most o-ring on the valve pin with a thinner one so the pin (nipple) can go out more. Hence the firing pin can hit it harder and the stroke lasts longer. I am still having trouble removing that o-ring heh**

====UPDATE====
Ok people, I gave it an 8 before because it didn't work in my SV6", turns out that the thing that's "incompatible" was my PGC SCW2 steel firing pin. I solved it by trying the valve on my DK while upgrading the firing pin and the same symtoms. That's when I know it is. Then I switched the SV back to stock pin. Guess what? UBER AWESOMEFULNESS! Oh man I have 3 of these to fit my 3 SV Mags' omg. Now I am in business! Valves that doesn't break! Scored a 10!
