Positive aspects of the product (pros):
|
Good gas milage, decent range, fair power and accuracy
|
|
Cons:
|
Basically a springer with gas internals, quality wise. Mags are prone to leaking. Low mag capacity.

Right so the UHC USP NBB. Skirmish worthy? Absolutely. A collectors piece? Not really. So here's the meat of the thing.
I recently bought a VSR-10 G-SPEC and required something semi-auto to use as a sidearm. Something preferably cheap and green gas/propane capable. While browsing around the internet I found the UHC USP NBB. I read some reviews and the general impression was pretty good. The price was also perfect at 39.99. Needless to say I soon hijacked a friends order with Airsoft Atlanta and several days later, bingo! As a side note both my friend and his brother bought UHC USPs so I have experience with three of these, I own two of them having acquired the brothers USP as well.
The order arrived at my friends house so I zipped over there to see my new purchase. First impressions were pretty good. Build quality wasn't incredible, much like a springer would be as opposed to a high end gas gun. Of course this gun cost me only $40 so no complaints there. I believe, but have not confirmed, that the slide from the springer UHC USP will fit the NBB version. This would reinforce the idea that the NBB version is basically the springer with gas internals. There are no trademarks which I would have liked but again, I bought this as a skirmish weapon, not a display piece.

So enough of the appearance. On to performance. Me and my friend rushed outside after gassing up the mags, a 2-3 second burst is all that's required. This is the part that impressed me. I was able to fire at least 5 mags with out seeing any reduction in performance. Just what one would want for a skirmish weapon. Power does not seem to decline until the last few shots. Both my USP and my friends seemed to also be firing very hard. Leaving very large welts on exposed skin. The power seemed to settle down after the first few mags, not sure about the reasons behind this. Both of the USPs still seems to be firing decently, power wise, I'd guess in the upper 200's FPS wise. About 260-280. But I haven't got a chrono so I can't confirm those numbers. I'd say effective range would have to be around 50 to 60 feet with longer shots possible. But certainly more than usable skirmish accuracy.
Well now to the downsides. The mags only hold 15 BBs so I'd invest in at least one extra mag. Also the mags seem to have a tendency to leak. 2 of the 3 mags we received with the 3 guns developed leaks over time. One only leaks gas occasionally but one will not hold gas at all. It may be easily fixable though, I have not looked into it. And lastly the the build quality isn't incredible as mentioned before.
Would I recommend it? Totally. As a cheap sidearm it's perfect. It does just what it was designed to do. However, airsofters looking for a realistic gun may want to invest in a nice GBB.
