Positive aspects of the product (pros): strong, durable, ventilated, interchangeable lenses and rated to take shotgun blasts from 35 feet
Cons: can be pricey also can be a bit of a rare product depending on your location

after attending a skirmish at combat south with a team member and hating the fact i was in a full face mask he offerd me a pair of ESS advancer 12 goggles for £20.

i tried them and within 2 mins of coming under fire told him under a hail of bb's "hell yes i will take em!"
the reason you ask, well not only were they comfy and allowed me to wear my helmet but also they looked bloomin badass!!

now then lets get to the intreasting bit!
theese goggles are designed for the US army and special forces- ess also do firefighting goggles but the advancer series is part of the military range of products- they are rated to take a shotgun blast from 35 feet saving the users vision making them more than acceptable for skirmish use!

they have 3 intercahngeable lenses yellow, smokey and clear.
i personally use the yellow lenses as they gather alot of light from the surroundings.
the goggles are also ventilated you simply pull the lense itself and it opens a slight way to help stop fogging.
they also have a small thin foam layer on the top, bottom and sides for venting when the user has the lenses closed the foam is there to stop sand/dust particles from entering the eyes.

the retaining strap is elasticated and is adjustable allowing also to be used for wearing around a helmet - very useful i find as i leave them on my helmet when in the safezone so i dont loose them- the strap is attached to a plastic clip that is in turn attached to the goggle frame.
the clip seems very sturdy and also allows a small ammount of movement for the strap - seems to be it helps stop tearing and also any strain being put on the goggles themselves when you take them off or beat them about - the strap uses to small clips to adjust the goggles to the desired comfort, these are easy to use and can be dont even under fire without having to take them off!.

the goggle frame is made of a rubber and alows for a amount of flex again working towards these goggles being able to take a serious beating!
they fit snugly around the eyes and provide a good clean air tight fir wich is good for stopping a BB or anything that could harm the eyes from entering the goggles.

the lenses themselves are as i said interchangeable.
this can be a bit of a difficult task at first or rather it was for me anyway! Smile

you simply pull the lense and pull/pushing towards the nose peice wich then unclips the lense then simply pull it away from the goggle frame.
to insert a new lense just put the larger clip of the lense in the space provided by the strap and then line the smaller double clip up against the nose peice and push down till they click in place.(this is a bit of a vuage description check you users handbook for a proper diagram and instructions on this task)

the spare lenses are stored in cloth protectors and then you can place them in the bag provided.
the small pouch has ESS written on it in blue and the main pouch is in black with 2 small velcro connectors with poppers - i will attempt to attach to my MOLLE vest to see if it can be used this way and will update if successful- the pouch is soft cloth and the goggles fit snugly into it providing you with somewhere to put them when you dont require them you can also put the spare lenses in there with the goggles.

now for some action stories and a bit on how well the goggles perform in the field!

i have had theese goggles take some rather nasty bursts to the lenses from short and long ranges and find they have not even got a scratch on them!
they fit snugly onto my face and i have no issues with wearing them for long periods of time.
the yellow lenses are very good in woodland setting where they help to gather surrounding light and brighten the surroundings up and bit as well as giving a nice yellow tint to players guns and the woods Nah!

the clear lenses are very good for urban providing a good clean view of the area and also again take shots very well without a problem!!
i have not had a chance to use the smokey lenses but i imagine they are just the same in quality and construction.

in conclusion i would reccommend these goggles to anyone looking for a stylish and very well constructed goggle.
they are worth the money and i dont know what i would do without them!

any question then just PM me and ask away i will be happy to help Smile

Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Cons: not too comfortable

I got mine on ebay, and it took some time for it to arrive to my home since it was shipped from the UK.

Once I took out the goggles from the bag I immediatly started playing with the goggle's feature of adjusting the amount of ventiliation. The main reason I got these goggles was beacuse of the ventilation feature.

Replacing the lenses is not all too tough and takes about 2 min max. I liked how it came with 3 different lenses(I got the version that it came with ther soft case).

I haven't played with it yet so I don't know how it will perform on the field.

The two things I hate most about this goggle is that the rubebr padding they use to seal the goggles are kind if uncomfortable. I wish they used some better padding.
Second is that the foam they have covering the ventilation holes to prevent dust coming in seems quite fragile and I am quite worried it will come of easily.

Overall these are pretty good goggles except for those two exceptions.
