Positive aspects of the product (pros): Comfy, protective, cheap, durable
Cons: bulky (hard to use with small trigger-guards)

"What a coincidence", i can hear everyone say...

"His names Rhino and he happens to own a set of gloves with the same name!"

Well... who better to review 'em then? Wink

Up until recently, i used to wear the cheap leather fingerless gloves that are available at most Army surplus shops for a couple of pounds. Only thing wrong with them though, was the fact that they offered little to no protection (i ended up having 3 BB's finding their way into the gloves thanks to the holes)

That all changed though when i saw these available (note: these were obtained from Ebay but are available at army surplus stores) and instantly got myself a pair.

First Impressions.

Upon opening the package they were in, i was impressed by the materials they were made from. A tough reinforced plastic with enough flexibility so as not to cause any pain to the back of the hand and a flexible cotton-like material that is both thin but strong for the main part of the glove.

Each glove has a large velcro strap which supports the wrist and keeps the glove firmly on the hand. The palm is made of a material similar in aspect to suede and helps to maintain a grip on the wettest of weapon grips (handy when you're playing Urban games with a shotgun in the rain!)

There are only 2 things which let these gloves down...

The first is that the plastic on the back of the gloves that extends along the fingers can make using them with a pistol (i.e Glock) a little fiddly as you have to wriggle your finger to fit in the triggerguard.

The second is that the full fingered versions tend to make your hands sweat like crazy (especially when the velcro strap is in use)
But on the good side, there are fingerless versions which eliminate these problems (at the risk of your fingers being exposed to BB fire!)

For the price paid (£12 posted) i could have done a lot worse and if i hadn't been so impatient, may have waited for the availability of the fingerless versions.

But who am i to grumble...

They're comfortable, durable cheap...

...oh yeah...

...They have my name on them Wink

*suitcase*, I best go and check it still works.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Excellent protection
Cons: Can be a tad bulky

These gloves offer excellent protection from BB's and also incredibly good protection from paintballs. I bought a pair of these gloves from my local paintball site for £5.50 because I was fed up with gettin split knuckles and dead fingers. They offer very good protection so much so that a paintball impact to the back of the hand feels more like a push, than an impact.

Only drawback to these is they are quite bulky and the trigger finger won't fit in many trigger guards. I solved this problem by cutting away the finger down to the knuckle, and the same on the thumb. It's an easy adjustment to make as the plastic is flexible enough to be cut with scissors. Remember to put a few stitches on the seems though or they'll fray where you cut them.

Overall excellent value for money. Even more so if you buy from a local paintball site, as it appears to be cheaper than at surplus stores.
