Positive aspects of the product (pros): cheap, conditions bats, automated
Cons: heavy

Ok so its not a battery but this is the best place for this review!

I picked up one of these chargers in 2004 from a HK retailer and have been very happy with it since then. I initially wanted a simple charger that would do the job, however when you compare ‘those’ types of chargers with the TLP series you get a lot of extra benefits for not much extra dough! Mine cost about US$40.

The main benefits of this charger are:
1. It is a piece of piss to use – you connect your battery and push the yellow button 3 times (this is the discharge followed by quick charge function),
2. The TLP4000 uses fuzzy logic which means it can work out the optimum charge time etc which makes your batteries last longer (especially NiCads) and ensures they are ganna give you the max yield per charge (very important if you are using 600mAh stick batteries)
3. The TLP automatically switches to trickle charge when the battery is done so as not to overcharge or drain it. An alarm also sounds when the trickle charge is engaged – so you know your good to go.
4. You can select the output of the charger by dialing in your desired setting e.g. 800mAh or whatever (its not very good to charge a 600Mah battery at an output of 1500mAh – very dangerous!
5. The TLP4000 has a switchable power supply (110 & 220volt) so you can fly around the world playing airsoft and not worry about charging up your batteries!
6. The charger comes with jumpers so you can run it off a car battery (very handy for those remote games. The jumpers can also be used to charge a car battery!
7. The case of the TLP4000 is metal the finishing is very nice and the frame is robust enough to take years of abuse.

The disadvantages of this charger are:
1. The weight – these things weigh a tone! So if your ganna airmail it expect the fright to be high
2. The instructions are piss poor – like 5 lines of writing (barely enough to work out how to use the thing).
3. You have to select the output manually.

All in all these things are bloody good and recommended. They are cheap they do the job and they do it well!!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Cooling Fan, Quick Charges, Slow Charges, Discharges
Cons: Heavy, Connection Error, Loud, BEEPING.

I purchased this charger from Gamepod Combat Airsoft, www.gamepod.com , and I'd like to say I highly recommend them because of their great customer service and big inventory of airsoft guns, gear, and accessories.

First Impressions
When I got the charger, the first thing I noticed was the weight. It seemed like a very sturdy and well made charger... until I brought it home.

So, I plugged the charger in, set the dial to the 1200 MaH, and slapped it in slow charge for my Ni-MH. It took a few seconds to realize how to work it, but I got the hang of it.

Aaaand.. It didn't charge. So I moved the cables around. And then I found out, there was a connection error in the large to mini connector. So, I have to set it in just the right position for it to charge correctly.

And then, the beeps. I don't know what the company was thinking, but this thing beeps. Every 8 seconds, the charger beeps when it is on slow. I think this was to comply with some law, but I am not sure.

I decided I couldn't stand the beep, so I hit the button and turned it to fast charge, and then the fan hit. BBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. It's a LOUD fan. But it keeps the charger cool.

Pros
-Gets the job done, quickly, slowly, or draining.
-Has a cooling fan.

Cons
-Noisy! (Beeps, Buzzes)
-Connection error.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Many features!
Cons: Instructions are poor

When I got it out of the box my expectations rose. Not much to add to the reviews above, but I have some points to make.
I charged an Intellect ni-mh 8.4v 4200mah battery and it took less than an hour to fully charge on quick charge at 3.5amps. Don't know if that blew my battery but it works.
But the instructions are terrible. It doesn't even explain anything. I didn't even know if the battery was charged or not as the manual did not mention what happens when the battery was fully charged. All that happened was that the slow LED blinked and beeping occured...nothing was mentioned on the manual.
If the manual was better I would give it a straight 10. Then again it does the job fairly quickly. A good buy.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Does everything a charger should plus more
Cons: The bloody beeps

Very impressive looking charger, Really liked the capabilities especially the Car battery wires.
Nice touch for airsofters in the field.

BUT....

I used it for all of 45 seconds which just consisted of 22 beeps to me.

It beeps too much, shouldn't even beep at all.

You just can't live with these things.

And no you can't silence them, shove in cupboard, 15 pillows, duvets,

Tried it all Wink

Another negative: VERY heavy, unknown to why it weighs soo much.
