Description: Combat South Store is a shop. Which sells Airsoft Combat related things. And is based in the South. Go figure.

Oh, and it also is run by the people who run the Combat South skirmish sites. Who would have thought?

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Excellent Customer Service, Friendly Staff....Did I mention the service???
Negative aspects of the product (cons): None really - the prices are competitive for the UK.

Those of you who know me will know that I don't tend to usually buy from the UK. I avoid it whenever possible in fact. My argument usually is that if I want value for money, excellent customer service, and prompt shipping, I'll go with someone like GunsNGuys.

So imagine my surprise when, after being recommended a UK Retailer in desperation by Swifty at the latest disaster suffered by my RPK, that I I found such a place exists in the UK. A place where the people with whom seem like genuinely nice people, who are as passionate for the sport as the rest of us. That place is Combat South.

Now okay, the prices aren't the cheapest, but the service, is without doubt, the best I have experienced. Here's two examples:

a ) My RPK's Marui hop up chamber broke. Right before a game. I tried Combat South in desperation, and decided to stump up the expensive shipping they stated if only to get the thing in time. The next day I get a call from Combat South ask IF I'D MIND whether they'd send it via a cheaper shipping method (royal mail 1st class), as it would get there sooner, and save me money.

Now most UK retailers I've dealt with wouldn't dream of taking the time to do such a thing. I've been ripped off majorly in the past by UK retailers simply switching orders for cheaper brand names etc without any correspondance. So to actually have a retailer ring me up and then offer me a service that would save me money and not disadvantage me...Well, I think that speaks volumes for their service, no?

b ) My RPK's bore-up piston head has a problem, as can be seen on the forum. A major one in fact - it has no o-ring. The one supplied with it was perished, and snapped inside the cylinder. I've spent three months trying to source a domestic equivalant. In desperation I start to ring around UK retailers. My first port of call: CS Store again.

Yet again I get a genuinely friendly bloke who lends an sympathetic ear to my problem. He has no spare o-rings in stock, but goes out of his way to locate some second hand ones off other heads. After advising me that on a M100 (my current spring) it most likely won't work, he then tells me he'll send me an o-ring FOR FREE. Okay, so one o-ring won't burst the bank, but the right ones are like gold dust in the UK. I had my credit card in hand ready to buy a second hand head for a tenner, and he gave it to me for free, not even wanting anything for taking his time or for the postage.

With service like that, what can I say? Alright, so HK is cheaper - and always will be than any UK shop, for which we have to thank our Government and the fact that all the manufacturers are in the Far East. But for peace of mind, genuinely nice people, and EXCELLENT customer service, I heartily recommend everyone to deal with Combat South. If I had a eleven out of ten for the service, I'd be giving it right now. Smile

Positive aspects of the product (pros): very good freindly service!
Negative aspects of the product (cons): prices can be a bit high

ok after dealing with their shop a few times and as stated above they are superb at sorting out what you want and do their best to get the product to you as soon as they can.

as i skirmish at CSW/CSU i decided i needed some more mags for my MP5 well i thought lets try some STAR ones...

so i go on the website and such and look around a bit and find what i need and decided to also add a speedloader..

now this was friday afternoon around 2pm so i placed to order and around 10 mins later got a call..

it was russ from the CS shop asking if i was going to be at CSW on sunday as if he got the order ready it would be much easier to give it all to me sunday rather than spending loads on and not guranteeing the package got to me before sunday.

overall i cannot rate this shop high enough on the list of UK retailers its right up there with Airsoft Armoury in my view.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Great service, fast delivery, good prices
Negative aspects of the product (cons):

This review is based on a purchase i made back in the summer from them for a Combro CB625 Chronograph.

Having finally decided it was time to purchase a chrono i made the decision on whether to order HK or UK, choosing the latter as for the sake of one item the usual postage cost etc from HK wasnt worth it.

After scanning through the usual retailers i decided on using CS store. Being they run my local site too, i thought why not give a bit of support & buy from them.

Payment done, and the usual form filling sorted, i chose express delivery to get it for the next day. Within less than 30 minutes of ordering i recieved a phonecall from Steve, who explained that 1st class would cost much less and probably still arrive next day, offering that method instead - i of course gladly accepted.

Again much like Marlowe i was suprised by this and was impressed at the effort they had gone to, to benefit me - rather than charging a flat postage rate and keeping any surplus money like i have found a few times with certain other retailers.

Overall a top retailer, excellent service and good prices.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): reasonable prices, great customer service, next day delivery
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Not alot of products compared to Wolf

I have been reading about airsoft the past couple of days and decided to by an AEG, I want to get into airsoft so will buy a reasonable beginers gun which I can upgrade in the future.

At first I was browsing Wolf Armouries but they did not accept my credit card do decided to go with Combat South. I wanted an M733 Commando as I had read reviews about them and most airsofters seem to like this rifle, I also want to customize it "Black Hawk Down" style in the near furure. They had the gun in stock for £174.95, I thought this was a reasonable price so started looking for a battery and charger, this is where the problems began.

I chose a battery that was not the correct size (to big for the M733) but I later recived a missed call on my mobile from combat south and then decided to email them to see what the fuss was about as my order was still pending.

I then recived an email off Steve (CS) saying the battery was to big and they were out of stock anyways. He then showed me some I could get and explained that there were no mini batterys in stock. Steve gave me some options of having a sling to hold the battery but as this and the battery would come to a total of £60+ I decided against it; however at least he made the effort, right.

Anyway he then later emailed me saying the order had been dispatched and will be with me tommorow, and he also said he had included a second hand mini battery free of charge, it just needs charging, which I can do with the charger I ordered.

I was gobsmacked, excellent customer service, he stayed with me to the end and still dispatched my order even thought it was past the desired dispatcheing time.

I highly recommand Combat South for internet orders. I will be shopping with them in the near future!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Local (well for me anyway), Good custom guns, Good prices, Really nice guys and Nice lot of stock
Negative aspects of the product (cons): None really

Well for me combat south is a perfect shop for me as it only takes me 10 mins on a bus to get there and is quite easy to locate.

Great lot of different guns and custom guns which is great to and if you go to the shop in person you can try before you buy which is good for first time buyers.

Price are good and some things are also a little cheaper then other places as i found when buying some new DPM clothes.

Nice lot of men and women who work in the shop as sometimes i just seem to pop in for a chat sometimes and to look at new items in stock.

Also its very easy and simple to find things on their website which is a added plus and contacting them is very easy through the website.

Well all in all a great shop which i would recommend to any body.
