Positive aspects of the product (pros): Full Auto, Price, will run on green
Cons: Plastic Slide, known to be problematic

I bought my G18C about a year ago now and have had very few problems, and those were my own fault (these will be explained later).

Out of the Box

Firstly the look, weight and general 'feel' of the 18C impressed me out of the box. Whilst nothing special without the magazine, it seems just about right with it inserted.

The manual isn't in English which may be a problem for someone new to Airsoft but the pictures are good enough to tell you what to do so it shouldn't make to much difference what language it's in.

The plastic slide was the only thing that I was unimpressed with. Aside from it being plastic, the trades were only very lightly engraved.

The sights have nice white bits (dot on front sight, 'U' on rear) to help with lining them up in daylight or at night.

The selector on the left hand side of the slide (at the rear) is very simple to use. Up for single, horizontal for safe (needed for stripping the weapon) and down for Fun (full-auto). The selector should only be moved when the slide is pulled back however, which can cause some problems if you do not realise this.

The HOP is set with a special 'key' in a little bag inside the box (don't loose this or the hex-key of you'll have problems setting the hop and changing the slide) and can be done without stripping the pistol down.

Leading on, striping the weapon is extremely easy. Take out the mag, move selector to 'safe', cock and pull down the tabs. Easy stuff.
The parts just the slide out.

The Range

So minutes later I’ve got the mag loaded and gassed up and am ready to let rip.

The recoil is nice enough considering the plastic slide (which stood up well to the Green Gas I was using in it). And whilst not anything new in semi, it really came into its own when I slipped the selector down.

The ROF with the stock plastic slide is immense and spits the entire magazines load out in record time.

The 'lock back' of the slide when the mag is empty is smooth, only problem is mine seems to sometimes lock back leaving a single BB left in the mag

I’ve run my Glock on Green for the entire time I’ve used it and not had a problem except the wear on the plastic slide, which is easily remedied.

Skirmishing

Now for what you've all been waiting for.

I first used this in a CQB training session with my team and the first they heard it fire was a nice short burst as someone popped over a table, I was told that the some of it firing on Full Auto is quite un-nerving and I, after being on the receiving end, very much agree.

If the sound alone isn’t enough to put your enemy off, the sheer amount of accurate plastic death coming their way will. Either that or take them out of the game.

Mag changes are, of course, quick and simple, especially with the lock back of the slide.

Most importantly, it's amazingly fun to skirmish.

Problems/Upgrades

The only really problem I had was wear on the plastic slide. This was quickly remedied by purchasing a metal slide/barrel set (around £60)

This made the Glock so much nicer to hold as it was given more weight and more importantly, to shoot. The sound of the metal is a whole lot more face-melting than the plastic.

Of course as the laws of physics state, the ROF will be alot more sluggish with the heavier slide but a £10 recoil spring will help with this.

My selector switch is a bit funny (needs to be pushed in to move) but I believe this is my fault somehow as it only happened after I took the mechanism apart.

Finally
In Conclusion (after much waffling) the G18C is a very nice piece for both new airsofters and the more seasoned. It’s a pleasure to shoot and skirmish and is made much better with the available after market metal slide.

Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Cons:

ok. as most know. the G18c is a great gun. but it does have some flaws that i will adress.

1. after about 2 or so years. the ball bearing that is in the selector plate will smooth out the grroves in the selecotr plate... cauaseing it to stay in semi or full auto. fixable but annoying.

2. Insane ROF. while it is a plus in some cases. the G18c is a victim of its on succes. with ROF up to 1000 rounds per minute. the standard 23rd mags are gone way to fast.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): metal slide, full auto, good fps and range for gbb, realistic weight
Cons: full auto is pointless unless youre in cqb, loudness gives away position.

I bought it at AEX almost a year ago, and its working like it did when i first bought it, went thu 3 cans of green gas and i chromeified the barrel.

FPS: 300-320 with green
Range: max:150 feet efective:120 feet
build: metal slide, barrel, mag, and internals, polymer/abs lower frame and blowbak chamber
awesomeness: 99.95%
