Positive aspects of the product (pros): Almost fully metal, very sturdy, awesome ROF on 9.6V, good accuracy, good markings
Cons: Hop-up problems

Right, time for another review i think.

A few weeks ago, i ordered this rifle from Dentrinity. Before anyone gasps at the price i payed for it, the older CA AEG's are on special offer there. SO, i got one with all due haste.

Cosmetics:
Upon opening the box, one's eyes meet a lovely sight. The CA M15's are all in a really pleasing matte black finish and the receivers are metal. The solid stock is also much nicer than the old CA armalites and TM armalites because it is less shiny. Great.

When picked up, it feels SO SOLID. Shake it around and nothing creaks or wobbles. The only things that shake are the sling ring at the front and a small strip of metal under the trigger. However, who cares?

The markings on the gun are crisp and sharp. Each rifle has its own individual serial number which is nice. On the left hand side of the receiver: the armalite logo, 'CARBINE 5.56mm', 'M15A4', 'SER.013402' AND 'ARMALITE,Inc. GENESEO, IL U.S.A. On the right side: 'ARMALITE,Inc. GENESEO, IL U.S.A.' AND 'CLASSIC ARMY' in small letters by the fire selector switch.

The carry handle comes off on the A4 series which allows you to mount scopes with ease.

Parts:
Not much to say here really. The cocking lever makes a good sound if you cock it right. Also, the forward assist is there and can be pushed(hwy youd want or need to?!).

The fire selector switch is smooth and not at all loose. The TM G36 fire selectors drop off so easily but not here.

The hopup unit is covered by the dust cover. This incorporates a clever magnet which holds the dust cover shut. However, open it and your shiny silver metal hopup is completely exposed to damage. EVERYONE, LEAVE THEIR DUST COVERS OPEN. na, just joking but to be honest, changing your hopup should be one of the first things you should do. The hopup is very weak and slips out of place easily. One day, you fcould have it exactly right and the next, your shots are dropping straight away. That is my only negative criticism about these rifles.

Performance:
A 9.6V 3300mah battery will easily fit inside the solid stock which allows for a fabulous ROF. It beats the highly acclaimed TM Famas hands down on a 9.6(the Famas using an 8.4V).

The FPS on this rifle varies from between 310 and 330fps. Its hard to say exactly what it fires at but its enough for woodland. Its also quite accurate if you can get th hop-up sorted out. Maybe a tightbore barrel would be a good plan.

Upgrades:
Obviously, there is a whole horde of stuff you can put on it. Just look on any website and about half the accesories will fit armalites. I chose to go with with the G&P ACOG replica and plan to add an M203 shortly.

Overall:
A great rifle. Great aesthetics, good performance(apart from that dodgy hop-up) and for the price, its an absolute steal. I highly reccomend it.

Don't you just love the fact that my silenced G36 is scoped right in on your right ear? Well, do ya punk?

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Beautifull
Cons: price tag a little high

I purchased the M14A4 Rifle this fall and am loving it, had not seen a single Classic Army AEG befor this purchase and was very pleased to open that box. the battery that was supplied by Evike was worthless but once they sent me the battery upgrade I had paid for in the first place it would rip up some card board. Ver2 Box, so easy to work on without another pair of hands. the body is very easy to break down, in fact it only took me an hour start to finish installing a new spring.

For the money I wish I would have went ahead and got one of the other M15s with the better 7mm bearing gearbox, not much more but you get allot especially with the CQB version, it has modified wiring, bearings, reinforced piston head w/ bearing, and spring guide w/ bearing, crane stock, rail system, trick rear sight, but very short barrel.

all in all, if my Classic Army M15A4 was lost by some act of god today, I would rush out tomarow and buy another before I made my next mortgage payment.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Heavy(6 pounds), Powerful, Full metal, Solid body
Cons: Dissapointing accuracy, 3 inch groupings at 40 feet

I got this instead of the regular m15a4 carbine because when i held the regular carbine it was WAY to small for me, and the CA m16 was to big for me, so i got this.

NOTE:I am reviewing the new one with the Yellow Hop up

Power 10/10: Can inflict a large welt at 100+ feet.Id say thats good.It goes about 330fps as the box claims

Accuracy 7/10: I dont know if i was expecting Sniper rifle accuracy, but im a little dissapointed.i get 6 inch groupings at 50 feet.Anyways a tightbore barrel should give me the kind of accuracy i want, ill update as soon as i get one

Body/Externals 10/10:I must say it feels exactly liek the real thing. Its full metal and the pistol grip, butt stock, and foregrip are fiberglass i believe.Extremely tuff body.

Range 10/10: it goes AT LEAST 120 feet with hop up set in the middle.with hop all the way up, it can lob the bb about 140-150 feet.

Overall 9.5/10:My only complaint was the accuracy.Maybe i was expecting sniper rifle accuracy. i dont know as this is the first and only
AEG i have ever used or owned. But once i get the tightbore barrel i can bet it will have a drastic increase in accuracy.

I Would Definitly recommend this gun to ANYONE.It is absolutely AWESOME!!!

UPDATE:I measured the groupings at 50 feet with a target.

It gets 6 inch groupings at 50 feet using .20g on Semi auto.Very dissapointing.(i was out of .25g so i couldnt test with those, .25g are far more accurrate)

If anyone buys this i suggest only use .25g and definitely get Tightbore barrel unless you like bad accuracy >_>

I will update again when i get some more .25g, and update once more when i get the Tightbore barrel

PS:I will update once i get the tightbore barrel, and maybe a 400 fps upgrade
