When I'm doing my daily tasks, i enjoy listening to music. So much, that I decided to shell out money for an expensive pair of headphones. I wanted a sound-canceling type, however I didn't want the gi-normus ones that you see people in a studio wear. Than I can across SHURE. I'm not going to get into their history, but they are an established audio works producer. So I opted for their "cheapest" model the E2 which cost roughly 100 usd (you can do better if you look).
Sound-
The sound is simply amazing, you'll want to throw-out your old ear bud headphones. The sound is clear and crisp. You can actually clearly hear the full range of the instruments with these headphone. I would say its tbe best pair of eaerphones that I own. When compairing them to a Bose "sound canceling" (also more expensive, over $200) large type headphones, the shure is 10x better.
Cons-
I'm not sure if its just me, however they don't really fit in my ears snuggly. Maybe it's becasue I have small ears? Shure includes different fittings for your ears, so I might just be an isoltated problem. Also there is clearly a lack of bass in the headphones.
Overall-
A good entry to the high-end headphones, and for those looking for great sound quality. I wouldn't say its the best, the Ec4s are better, but then again they are double the price. So if you want better sound quality in your music for a reasonable price, go for it. You'll love it.
