Review of the Tactical Tailor Folding Knife Pouch

I ordered this pouch for my sniper belt rig. I was expecting the usual Tactical Tailor quality with this pouch. I got what I wanted and then some.

When I opened the box I saw a bunch or other stuff that I ordered (will be review later) and then a very plain looking OD knife pouch. Picking it up you can easily see that it is made up of a very tough nylon. It has double and triple stitching all over it so the seams will most likely never come apart. Despite what I expected it does come with a MALICE clip so you do not need to buy one.

Looking closer the top of the pouch that holds the knife in is connected to the body of the pouch by Velcro, this allows for a pretty large folding knife to be fit in there. It fits me Leatherman wave fine, along with my CRKT Desert Cruiser.

After a few months of crawling around in the mud and brush this pouch is still going strong. Never once has it come loose (thanks to the MALICE clips) or dropped my knife. This pouch has been to hell in a hand basket and still keeps asking for more.

To sum it all up, this pouch is a great pouch. It is tough, well made, versatile, looks and functions wonderfully. I got what I paid for, a high quality knife pouch. Over all I would have to say, buy it. It is worth every penny.

Pros: The Pouch is a perfect addition to every rig
Cons: None that I had seen until now

I must concur.
Another aspect is that the knife / light pouch is also Tactical Tailor's equivalent of a single pistol mag pouch.

Mags :
Due to the velcro adjustable closing flap, you can use a wide variety of mags in this pouch.
I personally have used KJW G23 mags , KJW M9 mags, and KJW para mags in it without problems.

* I also think that due to the adjustable closure flaps, that the use of magpuls should b possible, but since I dont have any pistol mag magpuls available I cannot confirm. As long as a good portionof the mag base is above the pouche top, it should be possible.

** For interest, I decided to test whether the pouch would hold a MP5 mag, in a open top config.
It fits width wise and such, yet the pouch is too wide for it.Vibrant movement, also known as "jump the obstacle" or " get behind cover gymnastics" would cause the mag to fly out.

Flashlights :
I tested it with my G2 and its a charm.

Synopsis:
For the cost of the pouch,I think it is a optimum pouch. And at one channel of webbing, its the perfect space filler.
Personally, I will only carry one extra GBB mag , since the GBB only comes out when I have a empty AEG and cant "disengage" or get behind cover for a AEG reload.
It also benefits from its multi GBB mag ability.

Really, go out and get one.
