Review of the Tactical Tailor Modular Padded Belt
Once again I ordered this as a base for my sniper rig. This was supposed to hold all of my sniper kit. The actual belt is designed to be used in conjunction with plate carriers, to give more room to mount things.
Opening the box I was rather pleased with what I had in it. First thing I saw was my belt. This thing is a monster. It is 2 MOLLE rows deep and 18 wide. That is a total of 38 attachment points! Like all other Tactical Tailor gear it is made out of heavy duty nylon. Like the title suggests it is heavily padded. The padding makes the load on the belt feel like a load of feathers. The buckles on the belt are very nice and sturdy; they aren’t coming unsnapped anytime soon.
On the belt I have TT knife pouch, Maxpedition cocoon pouch, and a BHI M4 pouch. The belt holds all of them wonderfully. There is so much room for all of your gear it is awesome. I can easily add a binocular pouch and some more pouches. Crawling in the dirt with it on can make it come down on your hips slightly, so some suspenders are in need here. To be honest that is the only flaw of the belt.
Like all of my other sniper gear this has been to hell in a hand basket and keeps asking for more. For anyone looking for a modular sniper rig that does the job this is what you are looking for. It can be configured how ever you want and that is why this belt is perfect. It is by far the best piece of gear I have used, for simplicity, ruggedness and most of all quality.
