JUST Modular Strike Drop Leg Platform

Well I have been in to softair now for a few years, before that I was a paintball player and the whole time I’ve been a collector of real steel firearms, I guess what I’m saying is when it comes to guns I’ve been around the block more than a few times. Anyway the whole time I’ve been into guns I’ve been trying to come up with the best way to haul combat gear around the place in the most efficient and practical manner.

I picked up this particular leg rig with a couple of triple mag pouches from my local supplier. The thing I love most about modular gear is that its basically infinitely customizable. I mean you could more or less hang anything you like off it. I’ve seen pistols, mags, grenades, gas masks, SMGs you name it and the MOLLE system lets you do it.

The JUST platform is basically a bunch of straps held to your leg with more straps. I chose the JUST version cause they make them in both common (i.e. woodland/black) and uncommon (i.e. digital woodland/ desert) colors. They are also much cheaper than the more expensive Guarder versions, which are basically the same thing.

The platform as they call it, allows you to add whatever pouches you want or have to your leg. This is achieved by weaving either MALAC clips or the strapping that comes on the pouch through the straps on the platform. If you weave the pouch on like it was designed to be done, the pouch is literally stuck to the platform and as they say ‘ant going nowhere!!

The platform then attaches to your belt via a single large suspension strap with a clip for easy removal, and then it clips around your thigh using two more straps. The leg straps have rubber weave so once you do them up there is little vertical movement on your thigh.

The Verdict
Now as noted earlier I have had more than my share of leg rigs over the years, some good, others totally crap. IN MY OPINION THE STRIKE DROP LEG PLATFORM IS THE BEST OF THEM ALL! Why? Because it is 100% customizable, it securely fastens to your leg, it comes in all the good camo patterns, it utilizes your entire thigh area and it is made of high quality materials. However when you add the cost of it all up you have to be pretty dedicated to airsoft to afford this kind of setup. In other words if you can afford it then get it!
