Positive aspects of the product (pros): Full metal fully upgraded RIS front end
Cons: fiddley hop-up with 10v battery

Classic army m15a4 S.P.C (Special Purpose Carbine)

Right first of this being my first review means it'll probly suck but bare with me

I've actually had this for some time (around 9 months and thought it needed a review of its own)
i wanted something a little different than the standard M15's.

First of basic info on the gun itself

(stock m15 SPC - info from CA's website)

- Easy Disassembly metal body

- With laser 'Armalite' real gun logo, and

- Serial number

- Hi-cap magazine (300Rd)

- 7mm bearing gear box

- Metallic R.I.S. with one piece outer barrel

- New steel gears

- Reinforced slip ring

- Nylon & glass fiber hand grip, hand guard

- Metallic hop-up chamber & new hop-up rubber

- High torque motor

- 10.8V battery can be used after removing the slice inside the stock

First impressions - cosmetics/looks_

The SPC is an overall more refined version of the M15-A4 and when i first got my hands on my SPC it
was an experience all right, i was just shocked by the overall weight, finish, and sheer solidness
of it i could swing it around by the barrel with no creeks or body movement its a rock and i was simply
blown away also the added fact that i wasn't really an armalite fan to begin with until now.(sorry H&K >.<)

To start-of the full metal ris front end feels very meaty and solid also it comes with
2 ris guard plates which when fitted make holding it that bit more comfortable it also is well made and has
a nice matt black finish to matches the rest of the gun.

The rest of the body and stock are what you'd expect from classic army with a nice matt black
finish and nice clear armalites logo with serial number also the stock and pistolgrip are sturdy and don't flex.

The only flaw i can spot is the color of the front sling hook is a dark greyish rusty brown which sorta spoils
the overall finish a little.

The size is also very nice its no longer than A4 so add a ris grip and it isn't half bad for CQB.

Gun parts - bits and bobs:

A noticeable different to the likes of the TM range is the non working cocking handle.
While some see this as a bad thing to me its a nice bonus as its not connected in anything
important inside the gun (unlike the TM which uses the cocking handle to pull the hop-up cover back)

The SPC like the A4 has a removable carry handle so bolting on red dots and the like is easy enough it. if nothing
takes your fancy it has a sturdy ajustable rear sight.

Again like the standard A4 the duct cover is held closed via a magnet meaning it wont always fly open like the TMs
also the rest of the body is similar enough to the A4s with a nice selector switch, solid trigger, iron sights and
hop-up system.

The SPC also has a SR16 style flash hider with grove for a quick detach silencer.

Internals - performance

This is where the similarities end with the M15A4 the S.P.C is a monster out of the box which basically every upgrade you'd
ever want or need (bar a tight bore barrel).

Boasting 7mm bearing gear box, New steel gears, Reinforced slip ring, High torque motor and a new Metallic hop-up chamber and
new hop-up rubber

The spc can handle a 10.6 volt battery (after very slight modification to the inside of the stock which i have done) which adds more
to an already high fire rate not to mention a nice fps of 320+ giving it excellent woodland range !

This thing is a machine when it gets going... so slap a box mag on and you've got a worthy support weapon.
one problem I've found when using a 10v is it gradually winds the hop-up down over the day tho this problem doesn't show with a standard
8v or even a 9v

In comparison to the A4s hop-up the SPCs seems better I've had no problems with mine (bar when using a 10v battery)
it seems clean and smooth and once I've it set i don't have to ajust it again.

Last chroned at my local site hitting a pretty consistent 320-325fps.

I haven't had a chance or really the need to open it up entirely so i cant really mention the quality of the internals but going by the
performance i'd say they're pretty dam good.

Accuracy on the SPC is also very good with nice tight groupings added with the high fire rate and high fps means and your gonna hit whatever you aiming for.

Conclusion

The Classic Army M15-14 SPC is by far the best AEG I've owned with its rock hard construction high end performance and full metal ris
front end and sheer versatility make this the daddy of amralites while a slight deal more expensive than the A4 is well worth every penny.

looks 4/5 -(everything is clean and well finished also looks hot with bits bolted on)

built quality 5/5 -(a well machined rock and with the added weight of the ris it feels ever more meatyier than an A4)

Internals 4/5 -(judging by the performance i'd say they very good tho problems with the hop using a 10v can seem annoying)

Upgradeability 5/5 -(upgrades ? who needs upgrades ? ok maybe a tight bore barrel for good measure)

Customization 4/5 -(with the added benefit of the ris front end and removable carry handle means you'll be bolting stuff on till your hearts content
although I've heard about problems fitting aftermarket kits and such jue to small size differences tho i haven't encountered any trouble)

Value for money 3/5 -(well it aint cheap but something so refined never would be but the price can be off putting for those who think its only an added ris system)

Overall 9/10 -(awesome peace of kit imo one of the best armalites available)

hope you agree with my review and enjoyed reading it or found it informative at least.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): great externals, great ROF, great out of box fps
Cons: the flash hider wont come off for silencer, messy wiring in the stock, front sight is impossible to adjust(for me at least)

After weeks of research on the internet :O I finally found the gun of my dreams. The Classic Army m15a4 s.p.c. I had gotten my friend to pick up the gun from Airsoft Atlanta (awesome service from them). When I opened the box I saw the usual styrofoam packaging (much like TM packaging), the gun itself, a classic army catalog, an instruction manual, 300 rnd hi-cap magazine, and a cleaning rod.

When I first saw the gun itself, I knew that it was worth the 400 dollar price tag. It is beautiful!!! I carefully lifted it out of the styrofoam and felt it. Wow this is one heavy gun, probably weighing more than my TM Ak-47. As i waited for my battery to charge, I examined the gun more closely. I saw that there was a big difference between the classic army models and the tokyo marui ones (well at least the m4/m16 variants anyways) this model had a full metal body and while i dont know much about metals, i knew that this was one high quality gun. the only parts that are plastic are the stock and the pistol grip (and even that is high quality plastic which feels more like fiberglass) this gun seems nothing like the tokyo marui versions. full metal body, high quality internals,

enough with the internals, the 3300 battery is fully charged and I tried to put it in the stock. Big problem, unlike the TM guns CA wires are extremely messy. I had to spend about 5 mins trying to reconfigure the wires to hold the battery. It might be because of my extremely big battery but I am sure going to buy some plain wires on my next trip to Airsoft atlanta because the big fusebox gets in the way of the batter. The battery is loose in the stock, and my battery was a 8.4 volt 3300 MaH so im guessing upgrading with bigger beefier batteries would be no problem. anyways back to the gun, i loaded her up and shot a few rounds on semi. amazing at first I thought the mag wasnt loading but after shooting full auto I knew that there were no mag problems but the bb's were flying out of the barrel faster than i was used to (cough stock TM cough). After adjusting the hop-up I found that i could get accurate shots until the end of my backyard ( which is about 80 ft not so good). the range on this gun seems to be not so far so im guessing a tightbore barrel is a must. the stock fps is amazing and i dont think i will be doing any upgrading until something breaks. full auto on this gun is amazing, i couldnt keep my finger off the trigger till i emptied the mag. the sound emitted from the gun is clean crack and pop, which is sure to scare your enemies.

I am srry i cant go into the internals of this gun until it breaks but from the performance so far, i dont think i will ever have to.

I would definitely recommend this gun to anyone I know.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): RIS, good quality,
Cons: certion tiny parts

I purchesed this Rifle last year in may 2005 off redwolf.com for 330$ i was lucky beacause the price shot up to 400 somthing after.

I currently have take off the stock to use a cranestock that can house a 9.6 volt 3300mah battery.

I also put in a systema power upgrade kit to shoot arround 400 FPS.

My first thoughts of this was "DAM" its prety badass.

Look id give it a 9/10

When your trying to upgrade it, this rifle is a fregin pain. The gearbox is huge and bulky and sometimes tough to take out and if you are new at this you will mostly likly mess up the rifle Sad.
Because its a challange to get to the gear box I give it a 7/10

The Rail its kinda sad because its very wobbly and there isnt realy anyway to tightn it. Just a little wobly not alot.

This rifle preforms very well out in battle. The only 2 prob i have had w/ it so far is that my systema tapet plate broke so i used my stock one, and that the connector wires going the the battery got messed up but both were fixed with in 20 min.

Over all i give this an 8 because it preforms very well and was about the same price from all the other clasic army rifles. before the price randomly shot up for no good reason...
heres what i paid.
