I've always had a soft spot for airsoft shotguns and when i saw this model for sale back in 1999, how could i not buy it???
The real Ithaca M37 has seen extensive use through the latter parts of WWII, to combat in Korea to the jungles of Vietnam and is interesting in the way that the shells are loaded and ejected from the same port (located in the belly section) which made it popular with both left and right handed users.
The Dong San version (purchased from Jennings BB's in Middlesex for £50) is a nice compact little shotgun. The magazine is a tube that holds approx 46 rounds (give or take) and slots underneath the barrel near the pump. Located on the right hand side (above the pump) is the fire mode selector, which allows you to fire 1 or 2 BB's per pump. Safety is a push button located just behind the trigger and the rubber pistolgrip has attatchments for a sling.
Power output is approx 180 - 220fps, so as a Primary weapon, this will definately struggle! There are 5 variations on this model at present. They are:
Ithaca M37 "Featherlite" full sized version
Ithaca M37 "Sawn-off" model
Ithaca M37 "Shorty" Pistolgrip model (being reviewed)
and 2 Masterkey Models
It's size, power and ROF (Rate of Fire) would make it an ideal Close Combat weapon in CQB games and for the price it costs, would be a great little accessory for someone wanting a "Cheap and Efficient" backup weapon.

*suitcase*, I best go and check it still works.
