Positive aspects of the product (pros): Good price on entry level airsoft items
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Website needs improvement. Some description is confusing or incorrect

This was one of the first US airsoft online store I ran into years ago. Although I only bought a cheap springer from them, I browsed their website quite a bit. Their prices seem to be very good, and they have all the entry level airsoft items, such as proper AEG, GBB, and cheap gears, one needs. Their website doesn't look quite professional, and the requirement of registration for making a purchase is just a pain.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Prices and Customer Service
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Subpar Selection

I can't say that AirSplat is a bad retailer, because they aren't. But I do have to say that they have a limited selection compared to several other domestic retailers. Their customer service was pretty good. One time my battery got really screwed up from my charger and I emailed them for a replacement. With little hesitation, I sent mine back and they sent me a new one. Another time I ordered an M9 from their site and some other stuff. The other stuff was shipped, but the M9 was back ordered .. and I was also missing a battery. I never actually got the battery, but the M9 was received a week later.

The bad thing is that they have a poor selection, not really too many guns or too many accessories to pick from. Their prices are however okay and I guess average compared to some domestic airsoft retailers.

Overall, I think that if you find some stuff on this site that you can't find on others, or the price is better, then go for it.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Good selection of guns
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Bad at repairing guns, don't carry many aftermarket parts

About a year ago I purchased an ICS MP5A4 from Airsplat. They had a good price on it and free shipping, so I decided to buy it from them.

About a week or two after I got the gun I had some problems with the Mecha-box, so I e-mailed them since it was still under warranty and they told me to mail it to them and they would fix it under the warranty, which was nice. So, a month or two after I had mailed it to them, I finally got it back. It shot fine, but the connection between the motor and gearbox seemed to be messed up and it kept getting loose after every 100-200 shots. So after a while of ignoring the problem and hoping it will work itself out, I decide to open up the gun and see if I could find the problem. So I disassemble the gun, remove the motor, unscrew one of the screws that holds the gearbox down to the hand grip go to undo the other screw that is supposed to be there, and......wait a minute, there is no screw there, just a screw hole. After finding that oversight, I wonder, what else could they have forgotten?

So, they have good prices and everything, but when it comes to actually working with the internals of a gun, I don't feel confident in the quality of their work. But if you are a noob buying a springer or LPEG they would be a good choice to buy from.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Good prices large entry level inventory
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Lie about many things, service is hit or miss, ordering is like paying your bills

First Impression: What can I say? This was the first airsoft retailer I ever went to. They looked so 'cool' to a new guy like me.

Browsing: Their site has some VERY good prices, however, their more modern products have been a little more than sites like airsoft atlanta which I think has to do with less people buying from them. Not too many AEGs, but huge selection of spring and LPEGs. Upgrades period are very limited. Their descriptions also are very misleading and I almost bought one of their guns which turned out NOT to be marui compatible even though their description said so.

Ordering: Ordering is just a pain altogether. I seriously believe paying taxes online is less complicated. However, it is nice that they have a lot of specials on some products...that don't get added in sometimes... Their 'coupons' always work though.

Shipping: VERY fast shipping. Came a day early. However, they must not order very much of their products, because twice I've had items get put on back order.

Service: Their service is basically a hit and or miss. I've had everything come on time and the person I called about it before it came was very helpful. However, when ordering presents for some friends, the items they recieved where not the ones we had ordered, the shipping took FOREVER, almost a month and a half, and when I called inquiring about they products, the person hadn't the faintest idea of what was going on other than what the **** computer was already telling me.

Overall: Try avoiding this retailer at all costs. Try airsoft atlanta or trinity airsoft for AEGs as they are much more reliable and helpful not to mention their inventories are larger.

UPDATE: Airsplat has a much larger inventory regarding upgrades and seems to be doing better on their descriptions. As for service, we'll see I guess. It's usually their customer service people that are morons and don't understand anything more than you do.

Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Negative aspects of the product (cons):

My first real order was from airsplat: a CSI AK-47 for $50, with which i was promised 2 70 round metal AK mags and a clamp. I also ordered a speedloader ($5) and a bag of bbs ($12 for 4000 KSC) with this. After spending forever and a half trying to actually order, my dad and i finally finished (i'm not old enough yet to legally order). I noticed their shipping was insanely expensive, it's $15 normal, $100 for next day, and even increments inbetween. I originally intended to get a well R6, but it ended up being out of stock, even though the site said it was in stock.

I recieved the order 8 business days later. The items were packaged rather poorly, there was nothing holding them in place, the packages were just sitting there. I opened it up and opened the gun box, but i saw that there was only 1 mag and no clamp. I looked around the box and everything, no mag or clamp. I took about a dozen pictures of everyting and the reciept and emailed airsplat saying what happened. I got a reply a couple days later saying that a STAR 30 round mag was being sent and no clamp because apparently they didnt have them on sale. This is a complete load, as they had the EXACT clamp and mags listed on their site for sale! I got the STAR mag a week later and opened it up. The paint on the corner was slightly worn because they didnt put anything around the mag, it was just sitting the the box.

I tried ordering again from them a few months ago and this time the site just completely screwed up and didnt do anything. I wouldnt buy from them again.

Back in 5/1/06 I order a “HK Super 368 Spring Airsoft Rifle” which is a spring pump SL-8 for 24.95usd and the full order cost me 37.71usd due to the 9.89 shipping/handling….I should have just order that gun on Ebay…this dealer was good that’s what I thought.
Now (5/21/07) I have place a new order for something more expensive an UHC Super9 Spring Rifle. I also ordered TWO Rotary Mags and a bag of ten BB Shells. The gun cost me 134.95. The mags are 9.95 each and the BB Shells 2.50. My total order was 165.30 because I put in the coupon “FREE SHIPPING” for orders over 150 BUT I still had to pay for handling fees…
Finally the gun came around 4:30pm two days after I ordered the gun because I live in the same state as they do. When the gun came I open the wrapper and the box was already open… the carrying handle was cut and the top was just tape over to keep it close.
I open the box and every thing I ordered seems to be there. I saw my 10 extra BB shells 2 stick mags, and "2" rotary mags. I got the gun out then I realize I’m missing a rotary mag in the gun! I ordered 3 rotary mags! I would think that they leave it in the gun to save space but instead they removed it and gave me only 2 not 3. while the site says:
-Spring Airsoft "Super" Super 9 Pellet Rifle
- Scope and Bipod Included
- Shell Ejection
- 10 Shells Included
- Shells/ Rotary Mag &
- 2 Stick Cart Mag Included
- Capacity: 25 Rounds
- 500 fps (0.12 g BB) / 200 - 225 feet
- Fastest Spring Rifle
I specifically ordered 2 more rotary mags to fill up the 10 Shells that came with the gun already and the last rotary mag that should have come with the gun to use 5 more Shells leaving me with 5 extra BB Shells for replacement if I do lose some shells. BUT no, they screw me over and I have emailed them…the first 2 days of email they did reply. But then they now pretend like they did nothing wrong here is the email.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Low prices
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Website needs an update, confusing product descriptions, limited selection, customer service hours, unable to edit shipping address, more in the review below

So it was my first time purchasing a non-clone AEG. I was excited and went looking around for full-metal AEGs within my budget of close to $200. Surprisingly, Airsplat was the only retailer with a CA MP5A4 B&T, Wide Forearm version for just $205 (with AEGPACKAGE coupon applied).

I didn't know it was a B&T until customer service replied to my email, which took them 3 days to reply to, due to their short and untimely work hours of 9AM to 5PM...and just to give you a little taste of what I mean by "confusing descriptions", when you call their phone line out of their work hours, the answering machine states that they work 8:30am to 5pm.

What?! The website says 9AM! Why is this a big deal? Read on.

So I was about to cancel my order due to confusion of whether the MP5 I ordered was the new B&T version.

They didn't reply to my emails sense this was during the weekend (they don't work on holidays or weekends), and they began work on Monday. So I woke up early, at 8:30am like they stated on the machine. I didn't want to risk waking up any later than that because I wanted to HALT-STOP-CANCEL my order before they could ship it out.

I called them... *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*. Whaaaa?

No ring. Just that dreaded horror-stereotypical beep. I called them several times, and still their phone line remained dead. I gave up at 10am.

But, just to make my head hurt, they ship out my order without first checking their email.

I receive an email shortly after receiving the tracking number...

They replied to my LAST email I sent them and stated that the MP5 I ordered was in fact a B&T version. Phew, I don't have to cancel my order. But they still ignored my question: "The website states that the MP5 I ordered with the A4 version. Your model code states MP5A2. Which one am I really getting?"

No reply.

----------------------

Ok, so off the story and on to the Cons. Yes, they have extremely low prices, but there are things that will drive customers away.

First off: FEAR OF GETTING THE WRONG ITEM. Their skill of describing simple products lacks to the extent of a special-ed student. The one way they can fix this is by UPDATING the website with new information. I had to email them and ask them face-to-face if the product I ordered was this and that. I guess I got lucky on the MP5... also, they will confuse you by saying "ICS CLASSIC ARMY MP5 200 ROUND HI-CAP MAGAZINEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Um...ICS Classic Army? Which brand am I getting?

Secondly, their selection lacks. Just a bit. Such as, the only sling they offer is a single 3-point sling. They don't have any TM, and the G&P 100 round MP5 Midcap I was looking for doesn't exist on their site Sad Many accessories are blandly described. Mostly they won't include the brand name.

Thirdly, if you mess up on your shipping address, you have to CALL THEM AND GET ONE ADDED OR EDITED. WHY?! WHY!!!!!!

Most likely they won't even pick up...
----------------------------------

Overall, my shipping experience was bad. Just bad. Until I realized I had received the right one I was looking for.

Oh, and watch out for their packaging. It just sucks. They place your gun in its box, and put it in another box without any packaging peanuts. The cover on the gun's box wasn't even held close with tape. Also, the spare magazine I ordered was place inside the outer box, with no protection. It slid loosely on the trip from CA to WA. Oh well, it came in good condition anyways...

I would definitely buy from them again, only because of their good prices, but ordering from them is like taking a risk.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): cheap prices
Negative aspects of the product (cons): everything else

Just Horrible.

I ordered my first gun from them a little before Christmas. Didn't work. At all. SO, i send an email. After multiple pointless and slow to respond emails, i decide to call. I didn't get anything done either. I just gave up.

The prices are cheap, but the customer service and shipping(BB's were all over the box) is horrid.

Airsplat rates as just an OK with me. As long as you dont order to many items at once you should be OK. Ordering more than 2 items seems to confuse thier stock pickers. I'm guessing they hire guys at $6.50 hr who dont read or speak english well enough to fill an order properly. I've had several orders arrive with missing items. I called each time and they fixed the problems which is a plus.
