Positive aspects of the product (pros): Great Replica
Cons:

This gun came originally from our friend Guinness who sold it to another of our friend's Stangman, but now it is owned by me. Below is Stang's review of the Thompson... Which I sold but Guinness just bought a new one....

LITTLE HISTORY:

When the box arrived at my house I picked it up and since I've never held a airsoft gun before I didnt' know how heavy the box would be, but wow this thing had some weight to it. So I take it in my room cut open the whole roll of packing tape that my buddy Guinness put on there (guy I bought it from), and low and behold a BadAss M1A1 sitting right in the box just aching to be used and abused. The only problem was I didn't have any BBs...DOH!

Ok so the BBs finally arrive, and I charge up the battery, fill up my hi-cap and go into my backyard. So whats the first thing i do when i get out there? Ya you guessed it...FULL AUTO.

PROS:
1) no wobbles at all, just be sure to keep the screws tight
2) wood looks(and to me feels) real
3) nearly real weight(feels like you could drop it from 100stories up and it wouldn't break)
4) fairly accurate for how short the inner barrel is.
5) feels very well balanced

CONS:
1) From what i've heard its a tight fit for the internals so it makes it alittle more difficult to upgrade.
2) If you are a girly man, this might be alittle heavy for you
3) the selector switches feel like you can break them off if you give it a good tug in the wrong direction

I chronoed the gun it is 270(+-5fps).

The clip goes in nice and smooth. When its in there its not coming out, no wobble at all, unless you release the latch (DUH).

Cocking slide that slides open. even though it does nothing its interesting, it feels kinda flimsy(even though it is metal) so i usually leave it alone.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Nice and Heavy weight, good balance, accurate for short barrel, wood looks very realistic
Cons: Heavy for those who are smaller

I originally got this gun in a trade during the summer of 2005 after coming off of a Band of Brothers binge.

I was immediately hooked. It fits nice and snug between my shoulder and the pistol grip feels nice in the hand. For the smaller people out there is might be a little hard to shoulder, but I'm 5'9" and I shoulder it just fine.

The gun is very loud, alot louder than my old tm mp5 or classic army m15 rifle. Also the gun is almost full metal, with just the lower reciever not being metal. Also the metal on this gun is not the cheap aluminum that is painted black like you see from most metal bodies, but this metal body can be blued.

The barrel is secured snugly underneath the upper receiver by 1 & 1/2 inch long, 1/2 inch thick piece of steel connected by 2 screws. Now some people say that they fear it'll snap if they land on it, but I have a few times and its withstood my lard butt just fine.

Magazines lock into place with no wiggle. At first it's a little tricky to stick the magazine in, since you need to push up on the magazine release lever to slide the magazine in.

The wood looks very real on this replica, when you compare it to real wood you need to get up close and personal and then you'll barely be able to see the difference... but thats only my opinion and I'm sure others would disagree with me.

I've had this gun for nearly 7 months now, and the previous owner had it for close to 6. After multiple skirmishes, and after maybe 150,000 rounds through its still shooting strong and consistently firing 280 fps.

This thing is heavy, close to 9 pounds loaded with battery, heavier than the standard aeg, but 2 pounds lighter than the real thing. This thing does get heavy at the end of a long skirmish, but I've felt that holding it around the magwell eases the weight and makes it easier to hold, but once again thats opinion.

I absolutly love this gun, and I would reccommend it to anyone, whether stock or upgraded, od or woodland. It also makes a good looking gun for a bad guy in a NATO vs OPFOR game.

Pros: Good weight, Loud, Nice Balance, Accurate, Realistic Wood, Can Fit A Large 9.6 Battery, 420 Round Hicap, 220 Round Short Hicap.

Cons: Heavy for smaller people, Hard to shoulder for smaller people, Retails $350 in the States.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Nice weight, Good wood finish, Nice weight
Cons: There is a knack to getting the mags in and out.

I ordered this gun from Wolfarmouries, after getting together my WWII impression. Upon opening the outer packaging, i saw the box, it's nice, but i opened it to get to the prize inside.

I lifted the lid off of the box, and there sat the M1A1 Thompson. The wood looks real, and the metal is a nice tone of dark grey (on mine at least)

The battery is easy enough to fit, i had no troubles with it.

The magazines are hard to get in and out, but it's easy if you work out the most comfortable way for you.

The gun fires with a nice "dry" klakklakklak sound, and i find the selevtor levers easy to operate.

Overall, this gun is good for those going for a WWII or Early 'Nam era look, and i would recommend it to anybody looking to break from the Armalite/H&K crowd.
