Recoil Spring provides a VERY positive "snap" to the slide-return, metal of good quality, competetive pricing

Hammer spring makes things worse if anything
|
|
I bought this set from WGC Shop and fitted it to my Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa without delay.
The first thing I noticed was that the slide felt much more positive than before. Dropping the slide with the use of the slide-release lever made a very positive "clack" and that put a smile on my face.
Upon firing, the recoil spring at least makes for a faster, more satisfying shooting experience and it generally adds to the "feel" of the gun in general.
However, this kit also includes a Hammer Spring. This does not add to the performance of the gun. Adding the enhanced hammer spring slows down the blowback mechanism and can stop the gun from locking back after the last shot is fired. After a few hundred shots, I decided to remove the enhanced hammer spring and replace it with the stock spring. This improved things immensely.
As a side-note, those looking for an enhanced recoil spring for a KWA/KSC USP Compact would find this product immensely useful. I cut about 1cm off one of these springs and fitted it to my KWA USP Compact - it works a treat!
With the recoil spring only, this kit would get a 10 out of 10, but the hammer spring brings this down to a 9 out of 10. I would still recommend this kit to any TM Hi-Capa owner as the recoil spring alone will transform your gun in to a more positive feeling monster, but don't add the Hammer spring unless you are using an Airsoft gas more powerful than Green Gas.
Overall, a great add-on. I recommend it to any TM Hi-Capa owner. Note that this setup doesn't add anything to the WE Hi-Capa gun. The WE model already has a powerful recoil spring and this upgrade doesn't seem to enhance performance at all.
9 out of 10 from me for this upgrade

I also bought a pack of this to try on my WA SVI 6". The recoil spring isn't the hardest you can get. If your provider has stock, look for the "nine ball" recoil spring for TM Hi-Capa. I find these to be harder then the Guarder's. But nonetheless, this spring is good even for a 6".
The hammer spring is useless for a stock gun as R22Master stated. It's generally used only if your mag has a hi-output valve installed. Combined with using green gas at 34C+. I had a mate who had trouble firing because of a weak hammer spring.

Great with Green and a metal slide

Cons:

Not always right for your particular setup.

I've had mixed results with the spring set. With certain setups, I've seen reduced performance, and with others, I've had a great time.
Here is what I've found.
1. Adding these springs to stock gun, running 134a, is not a good idea. The recoil spring increases cycling spring, but it honestly feels far to strong. The slide slams home very quickly, violently, but the increased recoil is hardly noticable. After istallation, I also noticed a troublesome amount of increasing wear at the slide lock notch. The hammer spring, as R22 pointed out, fouls up the guns cycle. Low power, slow, jerky cycling, and terrible gas mileage.
In summary, don't buy these for a stock Hicapa if yo uintend to run 134a.
2. Stock gun, on green. Recoil spring is still not needed, and still not a good idea. The hammer spring, though, is a genuinely wonderful addition to the stock gun running green. Increases kick, power, cycle speed, at the cost of some efficiency. Using this setup, I got at least 65 good shots.
Hammer spring is great for guns on green, skip the recoil
3. Metal slides. Finally, the recoil spring comes in handy. It is very helpful in keeping cycle speeds up, with a heavy metal slide like my SD V12. The hammer spring is still just as important to the green gas user, and honestly, I can't imagine a Hicapa fitted with a metal slide and stronger recoil spring cycle at all with out it.
Final:
Green gas users should use the hammer spring
Green gas and metal slide users should consider this item a MUST BUY.
Stock gun/134a users should save their money.

I'm a WE Hi-Capa 5.1k owner. Bought this and add it when I got my hand on it. I don't agree with what R22Master said it is nothing to do with WE Hi-Capa, in fact this really make the slide crips nicer than WE stock recoil spring.
For the hammer spring, it is better to stay off because I'm having low power after install it and decided to take it off later.
After all, this is a must buy if you having a metal slide, the sound when it bounch back really nice. For those who used ABS slide, it is not recommend to install because even stock spring will wear out the slide lock notch.
