Full metal M203 grenade launcher with authentic engravings. Very heavy unit that looks and feels just like the real thing! Uses standard M203 BB shower shells. Excellent value for money! Mounts onto any RIS rail.

The G&P M203 is in my opinion the best out there. Why you ask? Because it is a full metal 1:1 scale copy of the real steel 203 and it only cost around US$130, which is a pretty good deal. G&P make both a short and long reproduction of the launcher and both operate the exact same bar the barrel length. This review is of the RIS version which differs from other versions in that it can be mounted to any 20mm RIS rail. There are other versions out there specifically for the M4/M16 however these are not as versatile as the RIS version.
Of course you need a RIS rail to mount the launcher on so this does add to the total cost of installment. Installation is simple there are two large thumbscrews that tighten a clamp that holds the launcher onto the rail. Once installation is complete you basically depress the slide release button allowing the loading mechanism to slide forward. You then insert your 40mm shell and slide the barrel backwards locking it in place. When you are ready to fire your shell you just pull on the trigger like any other gun. To remove the shell you simply repeat the process – when the slide moves forward it ejects the used shell downwards.
The trigger guard is the only part of this product that I dislike. The trigger guard is slightly retarded in that it pins into the front but moves freely at the back. I’m not quite sure what the designers where thinking when they made the M203 like this. I believe that G&P just copied the real steel that also has this design. The safety for the launcher is lo9cated in front of the trigger. It’s quite stiff so you have to be careful not to fire the thing while your trying to engage it.
All in all I’m really happy with my G&P M203, it looks great, its full metal and it works pretty well too. I must say that it does add a bit of weight to your gun, about 1kg empty, which is either good or bad depending on your preference. I’m happy with my one so I recommend it to you guys/girls too!
