Positive aspects of the product (pros): Fast shipping, great communication, excellent service, careful packaging, and most importantly... great prices!
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Since they are based in HK, contact with email times differ, not really a negative, though.

This is a little review of eHobby Asia Airsoft Supplier. They are based in Hong Kong and work through sales over the internet, primarily eBay. On eBay, they go by the name "airsoftshooting". They are an outstanding store with top notch customer support and speedy services.

For an online eBay store, I was surprised at how large of a supply they carried. They practically carry most of the parts that large HK retailers carry, from guns to tactical wear to upgrade parts to even some of the more rare items (you name it), and many of their items are at better prices. Better still, their shipping prices are already stated for you as eBay's Buy It Now items. Let's face it, HK stores beat the prices of most US retailers any day. However, shipping prices kill you. The great thing about eHobby Asia is that for those times when you think, "Damn, I wish I ordered item X with my last HK order," you won't have to worry about it because the prices after shipping of many of eHobby Asia's items are close to same, if not better, than their competitor's prices before shipping. For added savings, their combined shipping can also save you more money, as well.

I have ordered from them twice, and each time was a pleasure doing business with. The first time was when purchasing the Action ACOG, and the second time was when purchasing a GBB package with accessories. I've spent over $360 USD on their store so far, and frankly, I've saved more than a few bucks.

Shipping was incredibly fast. I paid for my GBB package on a Monday night and the package was at my house on Thursday morning. Now, when they quoted me the shipping price and stated it would be via Express, I was expecting the package to arrive in maybe a week or two. I am glad that I was wrong.

Shipping service was not only fast, but I could also tell that care went into packaging my items. There was bubble wrap on practically everything! Even after opening up my boxes, all the items inside were bubble wrapped, which minimized the amount of movement inside the boxes. All the little boxes were then packed into one larger box with plenty of packaging peanuts. One of my pet peeves is when people don't pack shipments properly. I wish everyone cared about shipping this much!

Each time I've had questions about their items, they promptly replied within 24 hours. While this might not be the fastest time for some, for a store located on the other side of the world, I don't think it's bad at all.

Would I reccommend eHobby Asia to anyone else? Yes, definitely! eHobby Asia is an excellent store, with great prices, good customer service, and fast shipping. I consider them the store other retailers don't want you to know about because of their great deals (some of which are hidden). Smile

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Good prices, reasonably large product selection
Negative aspects of the product (cons):

I purchased some King Arms Mil Spec Steel scope rings from these guys a couple of months back.

I was attracted by the great prices, which beat most of the normal HK retailers i would have gone to for the item.

Postage was low, and time from paypal payment to receiving the scope rings was only 6 days despite the bank holiday weekend.

They came well packaged, and to my suprise via normal post too which was a bonus as my local posty delivered them, and it avoided the usual joy of Parcel Farce !

If you are looking for good prices and would rather buy from ebay than a retailer elsewhere, they are definitely the place to buy from.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Fast Shipping and Great Prices.
Negative aspects of the product (cons):

I ordered a HFC M190 Special Edtion from Ehobby a while ago. It was extremly easy to buy and the gun made it across the Pacific to Los Angeles in less then 3 days. Everything was nicley wrapped and intact when it arrived. The only thing is that Ehobby doesn't have as diverse of a selection as other HK stores but it easily beats the other HK stores in Price, especially on single items.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Absolutely fab place. Lots of gizmos and accessories for great prices
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Im going to sound like Im on commission...

Not much I can say about eHobby other than that this shop is a whole new experience.

Ive bought many small accessories from these guys and all have been delivered within 8 working days, and all at great prices. I have found communication with them absolutely great and they are always the first place I look for airsoft gadgets like scope rails, mounts, magazines and magazine clamps, iron sights, slings etc.

A perfect example of what a retailer should be like.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Good Prices, Nice selection
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Shipping, Email replies, Lies about combined shipping

Well finally after 16 days i receive my package. 4 pound Package took that long to ship for $31 and no combined shipping when they say they do. All repied emails have noting to do with what i ask. If they had faster shipping with english person replying to emails, it would be a better place. Products are good. Just dont lie about shipping.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Shipping Times, Selection, Price
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Nothing

I've ordered from eHobby Asia several times now. Usually I receive my package in a few days and always got combined shipping.(Pointed at post above mine)
If you email the owner or Click the request total from shipper link on eBay you'll almost always get some discount.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): quick delivery, number of products, quality of products, everything. low pricing
Negative aspects of the product (cons): none i can think of

Great website. My first order was a G&P red dot for $38 shipped. I liv ein the US and to get one of thise you have to pay like $60 + like $9 shipping. Ehobby has very low prices, great wide selection and great customer service. I will go there again and again.

*Update*
I have bought alot more things since my last review. Still as great as they were when i posted my first review. This time around i ordered a backpack, rear sight a couple m14 magazines and a patch. I placed the order on monday (1/21/08) and the email they sent me says it will get here tommorow (Friday 1/24/08). I have no doubt it will happen. they are very good on their word. Very trustworthy retailer. will do buissness with in the future.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Reliable as hell, decent prices and fast shipping.
Negative aspects of the product (cons): ... haven't run across any

I spend far too much money on this here sport and most of it is spent here. They tend to beat out any US supplier in terms of price and somehow they manage to get the items to me a hell of a lot faster. I have never really had a chance to try out their customer service because every item is payed for, shipped and received without incident. They are the only option for US players looking for Marui products which are sold at HK prices with - as i have said - stateside shipping speed.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): always has somehting i need or other's don't stock
Negative aspects of the product (cons): combined shipping once in a while, you never know

I am always getting something from them.
The shipping is up and down, but all in all i think
i could not have the confidence in airsoft shopping
without this retailer.
just my thoughts is all.
I estimate i had ordered 12 times since i found them with no flaws at all. I do business with them much more than any other retailer.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Great selection of parts and unusual items, low cost.
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Shipping cost a "little" high

Ehobby Asia
An Ebay retailer worth looking into

Anytime you are purchasing online you have to be careful, that is especially true of any transactions on Ebay. But I have found an Ebay retailer that I am proud to recommend to anyone looking for Airsoft parts. From complete AEG's to mags, GBB's and tactical gear. Ehobby Asia has it all and great customer service to boot! You can not go wrong ordering from Ehobby Asia.

Communication
I have completed over a dozen transaction with them and everyone has gone smooth and with out a hic-up. I have ordered items that cost $600 all they way down to items that cost as little as $2.99. They treat every sale professionally and with courtesy throughout the transaction. They return emails promptly and notify you as soon as your products ship. Giving tracking information with each transaction. I have had to exchange an item and they did not charge me shipping on the item. Even though I ordered the wrong product.

Shipping
They ship out items the very next day and I often receive them the same week as the sale. This is unheard of. They charge a flat shipping price regardless of your location and do not charge extra to ship to Alaska. Their shipping prices are a little high but still far less then most domestic retailers. The only reason they did not get a perfect 10 score was this small fact. But I did award them a 9 due to the fact that the shipping is still reasonable. Just not outstanding the way they are in every other category. They will combine shipping on multiple items so you can also save some money that way.

Prices
The prices they list are generally a few bucks cheaper then prices listed at War Gamer Club but the real savings comes in shipping cost and shipping time.

Conclusion
I can not say enough good things about this retailer. Order from them and see for yourself. The only reason I did not give them a perfect 10 score was the cost of shipping. But that is often an issue with any online retailer charging for shipping. They have excellent communication. Their products always ship fast and arrive in great condition. An outstanding retailer!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): good prices, seem to stock the rarer items
Negative aspects of the product (cons): none

They had the best price for a G&P dual clamp scope mount. A slight delay in sending as they wait to see if the paypal fund is 'charged back' (bloody yanks) but usually arrives 5 working days after they post it. 10 days from order date you've usually got it.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): they send your product around the time promised.
Negative aspects of the product (cons): the $30 S&H, and once they realize that they actually need to fix something for you with your warrenty, they ignore you

PLEASE READ THIS

yes. this site seems great. everything seems so cheap its amazing! the only downside seems that the Shipping and Handling gives you only one option of $30

i bought a WE Baby Hi-Capa 3.8 from their site.
it was half the price of any other places! round up to $50 for the gun, while other places will charge you $100 or more!
that was great!

i got it in a few days, which was good, considering that its from hong kong, and i loved it. it totally made my friends' look cheap.

HOWEVER... in less than the 30 day warranty policy, it broke. so i contacted them through email. in the 2-3 business days they kindly replied after i told them that "my gun seems to have problems". they had no problems with that. they asked for more information like everyone would, and by the time i sent them pictures of the piece that fell out, they respond "there seems to be an internal error"

... i already knew that.

they then continue to say things like "is there someone who can take a look at it for you?"

i respond "no there isnt. can you guys fix it for me?" (thats why i asked you guys in the first place right?)

"Will you return the item to us for repairing?"

"yes, i would like to return this item to you guys. how can i sent it to you to get it fixed?"

and from then on i never got a reply about that again.

please note that every quote i said is word for word.

i assume that they didnt get the email, so i send them another one with the same content of the previous emails.. then another email.. then another one..
after a month of no reply, i'm getting pretty pissed off.

so i try sending them another email through another name, and say "hi, i seem to be having problems with my gun i just recently purchased"

and in the 2-3 business days they kindly reply
"Dear Buyer,
Would you please give us more details about your problems? Thank you very much."

....

so i respond telling them who i am, i give them all the information they need, my order number and everything and tell them that they have not been replying to my emails. i simply want an explanation.

but since then,

again, i have yet to get a reply

i bought that gun from ehobbyasia late December 2008.

right now it is February 14th.

its been way too long for me to be waiting for a solution

overall? i say. if you want a good gun for good prices, this place is great.

however, if you think at all your gun will break, which in many cases they do, tough luck. you're not going to get it fixed at all.
consider it a one transaction deal. all sales final. they don't give a crap about promised warranties.

they're cheap. in more ways than they advertise for.

(doesn't it mean something when someone gets so dissatisfied they make an account just to tell you guys?)

if anyone knows where to find replacement parts for the WE Baby Hi-Capa 3.8, please i would very much appreciate your help.

You can email me at
smartestbaboever@gmail.com

and if you would like to see the original emails as prove, i would be glad to send it to you too.
just send me an email. thanks guys.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Some items are cheap compare with other HK based retailers
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Extremely poor after sales service

Bought an AEG, some mags and other bits and bobs from them. They shipped the items quite quickly though I wished they would give options to express deliverer like TNT or UPS as the the UK side Parcel Force totally sucks and really took their time. Overall eHobby Asia was really impressive up to this point. Now.. the negative bit...

Got home and saw the parcel which was nicely wrapped up. It was about the size of an AEG rifle box and I was wondering if they have missed my other items out as I did bought quite a bit along with my AEG. It turns out they have cramped all the stuffs within the AEG box by cutting up the polystyrene packaging to make space. I have to admit that I was really impressed in how innovative they were in making use of space but I was a bit disappointed as I like to keep my AEGs in their original box, and the box was total ruined as it was so stuffed, I have to rip it open in order to get to its content. Still, I can live with that.

As I was checking my items were in working order, one of my mags did not wind up. I wrote a polite email explaining to them the problem I had and to date some 3 weeks later, not a word from them. They have totally ignore my email. The only reason that I did not pursue any further was because I had fix the mag myself.

I am glad the issue I had was a relatively minor one and that I can resolve it myself. It serves as testing the water in buying from eHobby Asia. I might buy something else from them in the future if the items happens to be simple and difficult to break type of sort, otherwise be weary buying from them as their after sale service is non existent.

You have been warned...

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Wide selection, they carry flecktarn goods
Negative aspects of the product (cons): DOES NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH WARRENTY

With eHobbyasia, there's the good, the bad, and the ugly.

The good:

They have a wide selection of goods and even carry Flecktarn and it's desert brother. They claim to check out their Chinese clones before shipping them out, but I'm skeptical on that. eHobbyasia also starts with an "e", and I am quite fond of that letter.

The bad:

The prices may seem good at first, but their shipping is extremely expensive for certain items, making the consumer barely save any money on certain purchases.

The ugly:

They don't follow through on their warranty. If you e-mail them about how one of the products you got from them is bad, they will not respond. The only way to get them to respond is through paypal, and even then they will bide their time. As an example of this, I purchased a 40mm POM Pro Arms grenade pack only to have all three nades die on me. I e-mail them, get nothing for about 3-4 days, start a paypal dispute, get a response in 1-2 days, a little fishy here?

It gets better.

They end up giving me an RMA number and tell me to ship the item back and that they will give me a full or partial refund. I happily pack up my defective product and ship it back. The paypal dispute ends because I let the time run out the week I sent the product back, thinking I would allow time for shipping. It's been well over a month now and I've gotten nothing back. I shoot them an e-mail to see if they have even received my item back. That was ten days ago, on August 23rd.

eHobbyasia pretty much just stole 40$ from me and I can't do anything about it... except warn you.

I give eHobbyasia a 1/10 over all due to its shady business with fake warranties.

EDIT: I will not change what I have already said about this retailer, however after telling my story on these forums I finally got money back - kinda. I was offered store credit which I used on a new purchase that came in a timely fashion around February 15th 2010, practically six months after this whole ordeal... half a year I waited for store credit that could not be applied to shipping. All in all if you must get something from eHobbyasia AND NO ONE ELSE CARRIES THAT PRODUCT, go ahead, but make sure you sign up here first and complain in the problems with online sales area as I doubt you would get any response from their e-mail system. I would like to thank the sales rep here who helped me out, but that does not actually change anything that happened or make up for the half a year I was waiting for some type of reimbursement.
