Positive aspects of the product (pros): Surpisingly high fps, very large capacity magazine
Cons: Better guns out there performance wise for the price, sub par performance

Background: The Tommy Gun has always been one of my favorite guns. When I decided to go forward with my thompson aeg project, I needed to get this springer for spare parts. After my dad's trip to California, he came back with this gun. My dad purchased this gun from Jungle Toy for $99.99, and a spare mag for $34.99. These prices were as of Summer 2003 and since, the price has dropped. I've spotted this gun at my local Sports Authority for $75.00.

The Gun: You can tell this gun is plastic. It feels very low quality. The wood is in no way compareable to the TM Thompson aeg. The stock on this gun is removeable in case if you wanted to use it stockless. The cocking bolt is on the top of the gun, where the bolt on the real steel gun is located. Cocking this gun is a bit difficult. I've found TM springer rifles alot easier to cock. Shouldering this gun feels very odd. I find it alot more comfortable to shoot at waist level, just like in the movies. You of course, loose accuracy.

Trademarks: My gun came with a big white "Made in Korea" sticker on both ends of the gun. There is lettering on the gun that says "KSG". I'm assuming this is the Korean Brand that manufactured the gun.

The Mag: The mag on this gun is very cheap. It holds 500 bbs and needs to be wound. I must caution you that if you over wind this mag, the spring will break and the mag will need to be repalced/repaired. The mag can be loaded while inserted into the gun, via a small side sliding door.

Shooting: Shooting this gun is a pain. As I said, the bolt is hard to cock and in such an awkward place, that you'll have to unshoulder the gun, cock the bolt, and reshoulder just to get another shot off. This means a low rate of fire on this gun. Accuracy is ok with this gun. It shoots about 80 feet before it drops. I chroned this gun at my local field just for fun, and it shot at a suprising 280 fps, the normal fps for a stock aeg.

Conclusion: Would I reccomend the gun? For the cost that I bought it for, no. There are other guns out there that are cheaper and offer better performance, such as the UHC mp5. Unless you really want a Tommy Gun, then stay away from this gun. Like I stated earlier, I got this gun for the parts, not to shoot around.
