The Rollypoly is a licenced adaptation of the MM Dump Pouch Design. While it is advertised by many as a multi purpose utility pouch, which roll it may play fine, the main reason many purchase one is to use it as a dump pouch.
The Specs are as follows:
Folded: 75cm long x 75cm wide x 4.5cm thick
Open: 15cm diameter, 20cm tall
Total Volume: 2500 cu. cm. approx
Belt: Closed Loop
Attach: Short Malice Clips (sold separately) Siamese SlikClip (included)
Color Options: Black / Green / Khaki
Depending on what you wanted to use it for, an issue may be that unless the neck of the pouch is pulled in via the elastic cord, the flap will not cover the pouch opening entirely. In the roll of the dump pouch it is more to secure the contents rather than protect them.
Made originally for the American market, it is sized to hold seven M4 30-rnd mags, stacked either vertically or horizontally. Regardless of this though, it can house most types of magazines under 200mm in height, or for shotgun shells or pyro's.
It has snag-free elastic cord that closes the neck from the rear sides of the pouch. The velcro flap which normally holds the pouch in its folded position, can be used as a lid if used as a utility pouch, or can be secured inside the if used as a dump pouch.
It can be worn via a belt, my own personal preference and is set off to my left hand side, as I change mags with my left hand so empties can be dropped in easily, or can be attached to MOLLE or PALS webbing by means of Malice Clips. A top loop allows the Rollypoly to be piggy-backed using a Duraflex Siamese SlikClip which is supplied, or a 25mm Duraflex QuickAttach Buckle.
There is no explanation of what material it is made of, but it looks very hardwearing. Single stitching to the majority of the pouch with some double stitching at stress points. A drain hole is located on the bottom of the pouch which allows for quick drainage.
The only way I could think of making this better as a dump pouch would be to put a neoprene cover over with a slit in it to push mags through to ensure none jump out, not a problem I have had but one some may do.
Overall a great pouch, especially in the roll of a dump pouch.
