Positive aspects of the product (pros): It works
Cons: It will wear out after time

Most people at some point will have to replace their Hop Bucking, due to the standard item either wearing out, ripping, or not being up to standard in the first place.

My reason for purchase was to replace the one in my ICS Mp5, apparently know for not have a great hop bucking. I actually purchased mine at the same time as the gun, for replacement if it wasnt up to the job, or when it wore out. It was fine at first but after around 10,000 rounds, began to misfeed, fire two shots off and other random things.

After ascertaining this was definatly the hop, after stripping and checking everything else, it was replaced with this Systema item which solved the problem. Whether or not it has a longer life period, only time will tell and I will report back if and when.

There are a whole host of other offerings out there. This is just what other users recommended, although i have also recently purchased a Guarder item, also meant to be very good. Other manufacturers also off a range of different hardnesses, how exactly these differ from any other unit I do not know. No doubt through the amount of purchase they have on the surface of the bb against the amount of pressure induced upon it.

It works, I just hope it lasts longer than the standard ICS offering. If will more than likely be used in my CA36K first, also know for poor hop buckings.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Fixes precision barrel jams with hop-up units on G&P guns, possibly others. Also comes with a brass barrel ring.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.

The Systema hop-up bucking is a lifesaver. If your precision barrel is jamming, even with high quiality BBs, such as Excel, Tokyo Marui, KSC, G&P and Airsoft Elite, then the problem is NOT the barrel, it is that your hop-up unit is not compatible with a precision barrel. This is my experience:

I purchased a Madbull 6.03mm tightbore barrel (509mm) for my G&P M16A3 from www.redwolfairsoft.com. After installing it into my AEG, the shots were "plunking". They would shoot off in random directions and have no power. Ontop of that, my AEG would jerk very violently and make strange hissing noises. I tried several types of BBs, all with the same result. I cleaned the barrel, checked to see if it was bent or scratched, lubed it and took it apart and put it back together, but nothing worked. After contacting Redwolf Airsoft, they said that they had this problem before. They told me that G&P hop-up rubbers are not compatible with precision barrels because they are too big and squish the barrel in the hop-up unit, causing mis-alignments between the barrel and chamber. They told me to try another brand of hop-up rubber. I decided to purchase the Systema hop-up bucking for $6.75 on www.airsoftgi.com. After receiving and comparing it with the G&P one, it turns out that the skirt on the Systema one was about half as short (only about 1mm but it mattered) The chamber was also slightly larger. After installing the Systema hop-up bucking, which fit in much looser, the precision barrel began to fire properly! I now have the benefits of the precision barrel without jamming. The Systema hop-up bucking also comes with a brass ring which goes inside the end of the hop-up unit between the barrel and unit, to prevent it from pivoting.

If you are planning to install a precision barrel of any size on your AEG or are having jamming problems with your already installed precision barrel, than you MUST buy this product. It is a lifesaver.
