Positive aspects of the product (pros):	8mm, small and compact,, relatively cheap price
Cons:	134a only, horrible range and accuracy

Background:Ever since I saw this little baby at Poweredge, I always wondered how it would perform. With no reviews online, I figured why not review it? It is a rarely seen gun on the field and made as a "last stand" gun with it's bb capacity of 2 bbs. Maybe the review would tell us why it's rarely used.

Gun Info: The Marushin Derringer is a nbb gun. There are two versions available, flat black and chrome, with chrome being the harder one to find. It can only use 134a gas as anything stronger will blow the seal. It has a bb capacity of 2 bbs and fires 8mm bbs only. There is no hop up in the gun. At the time of the review, Poweredge sold the gun for $95.

First Impressions: Upon picking up the Marushin Derringer, I noticed that it had a good weight to it, not too light, not to heavy. This Derringer was the flat black version, not the chrome version. It is very small; smaller than I imagined it to be and as the pictures show, it was able to fit in the palm of my hand. It is made of mostly plastic if not all plastic and has "Marushin Industry Co., LTD" along the barrel. That is the only writing on the gun. The only things inside the box are a couple of papers in Japanese.

Loading and Firing:
The Loading Process and Firing Process is as follows:
1.rotate latch forward till all the way forward
2.pull barrel assembly up
3.place bbs in barrel
4.close barrel assembly
5.rotate latch back to original locked position
6.pull hammer back
7.fire
8.pull hammer back
9.fire

Shooting Experience:For the review, Poweredge provided me with 134a gas and Maruzen 8mm .34 bbs. I tested it outside in their shooting arena on a mildly sunny day.
After loading the gun, I pulled the hammer back. *sound of the hammer going forward* "Is that it?" I thought to myself. The bb traveled about 10 ft and then floated upwards. I decided to cock the hammer back and shoot the final round. *sound of hammer going forward* Same result and range.
After firing the gun a couple more times, I came to the conclusion that it is really inaccurate. It has the max effective range of 8-10 ft and is about as loud as normal springer when fired. Chorno readings had an average of 179 fps for the first bb and 168 fps for the second bb when using Maruzen .34 bbs and 134a.

Conclusion:This gun is very innacurate, even when shooting from 10 ft from the target. With the max effective range of the gun being 8-10 ft, why not just tag the person to get them out? This gun is more of a novelty gun than a skirmish weapon or a collectors piece. With it's price at Poweredge being $95, it is affordable but not neccesarilly worth it. There are other guns that are cheaper and offer better performance around the same size such as the HFC Colt .25. I must say it is embarrasing if you get out by someone using this gun.
